And the short episode count matters because as far as I remember it is the shortest full series in the entire franchise and yet it has some of the best characters, character development, setting, plot points and progression, pacing, and message.

Compare this with every post 2010 Gundam (besides IBO) getting shat on because it tries to fit too much into a small package, a small package that is usually still multiple times as many episodes as 0080 and still ends up lacking a satisfying conclusion

I gotta admit 0080 was kind of mediocre, when you take away the animation the characters aren't that good, pacing is wonky, and the music was subpar. Before IBO it was the worst mainline entry.
