The second quarter of Gavv starts really slow, it then has a lot of good emotional beats but also mixed in with a nonsensical plot that feels detached from the show's setting to the point none of the main villains get involved in the latter half of this arc, it's not bad bad by any means but Q2 definitely could have been better.
The show then picks up with the second half and has been continously great but not hasn't quite reached the consistent highs of the first quarter.
So overall the show has been really great but if you dropped it in the first quarter because you didn't likeit I really cannot imagine you liking any of what the show has left to offer, so it's better to not pick it up.

The Avex specifier actually narrows things pretty well - most of the global Japanese musicians are Sony, Warner, or UMG.
The first I could think of that's "globally" known with international tours and no tokusatsu background are The Pillows, but they disbanded back in January this year. While that's within the filming schedule for Zeztz, I don't think they'd want their last song to be a post-disbandment kids' show song. MAYBE Mondo Grosso but he was kind of a one-hit wonder, and his style doesn't necessarily match.

Additionally, the product they're selling is still very Japanese in nature with the focus on interactive narikiri items and collectibles and DX toys. The full-cover helmet, big eyes, and saturated colors are also very Japanese. Their Western appeal is localization and going for a more "cool" hero angle, but no more "cool" than Faiz or Kabuto, they still definitely want the distinctly Japanese feel. Suddenly stopping short at the OP would be pretty antithetical to everything else they're doing.

According to the show's pilot director Satoshi Morota, Ghost's setting got reset about 3 times during production. For some unexplained reason Fukuda hardly wrote episodes for the show, only returning for the episodes that retained ideas from the show's original pre-production plan which were Alain's and Adonis' arc, while he left all of the show actual world building to the summer movie and V-Cinema. Most of the show ended up being written by Keiichi Hasegawa, he's the chief writer of Ultraman Dyna, the first half of Ultraman Nexus, Shingeki no Bahamut Genesis and SSSS Gridman/Dynazenon, he's also a recurring episode writer for Rider, for example he wrote Nazca's death in W, Weather's death in W Capricorn arc in Fourze, Tomari confronting Nira in Drive and the episode where Freeze kills Tomari in Drive. All in all a really consistently good writer, but for some reason his episodes for Ghost were the worst part of the show, it's speculated that it was because of the show not having a proper setting due to the production issues.

Hasegawa ended up creating Spanner's character arc and the main villains of the show like the Abyssal Sisters and Geryon, also wrote most of the show with a total of 22 episodes while Uchida wrote 18. Because neither of the 2 writers knew what to do with Rinne the show's vice producer Daigo Matsuura brought a third head writer Akiko Inoue to handle Rinne. This show as a mess since for the first quarter the staff was basically just winging it without a solid plan and while they finally had direction from Q2 onward the visions of Uchida, Hasegawa and Minato were way too different resulting in Hasegawa clashing with the 2 and Minato shutting down a lot of the ideas of the 2 writers.
TLDR; The main writer of Ghost/Saber isn't part of the head writer trio of Gotchard, Gotchard just has the recurring episode writer of those two shows as one of the head co-writers. Most of Ghost's and Gotchard's problems stem from the incompetence of the head producers rather than the writers and Saber's problems mostly stem from production complications with Covid.

Valvarad was clearly not as strong as a real Rider despite Supana's experience and proficiency (he pretty much implies Gotchard's Alchemical powers are on another level during a fight with Lachesis in which they use additional Chemies as armaments instead of outright fusing with them), and the fact that he was constantly eating shit and getting upstaged by newbies with actual Rider powers such as Houtaro and Rinne served as way to develop his character by humbling him and making him more aware of his own weakness, the latter of which led to him resorting to becoming a kaijin in order to finally fight back after reaching his breaking point, and later becoming more powerful than ever before by getting his shit together and finally transforming into a Rider.
