It's one of the last suits that doesn't try to out-Gundam Gundam, and instead carves its own path. Gyan tries to ape Gundam's close combat capabilities, Gelgoog is plain zeek Gundam, and past that tech largely consolidates, but Dom? Dom has a vision of its own. It's bulky, well armed and well armored, yet nimble thanks to its skating ability. And it has visions for the future expandability, like the beam port and a suspiciously beam saber-shaped heat rod, expandability that would unfortunately never come because upgrading an outdated steel alloy suit is not worth it. The romantic idea of an archetype left behind for a gentrified future. It's the flip phone of mobile suits.
