Glad Khara remembered Gundam is an action franchise first
I'm so glad I gave Quacks a perfect score. Gundam is a franchise has been on a steady decline with deep valleys ever since Age/Unicorn in 2011. Normally this franchise gets 9s and 10s out of 10, but it's like Sunrise forgot that action shows need these things called action scenes every episode. It's like they wanted to stuff unnecessary dialogue scenes to get the book reader and snobby critic demographics. Why have action scenes been on the decline in Gundam, anons?

Because they didn't want to animate it in 2d, now with 3d they can do it faster. Sloppa.

OP is right but Gundam isn't the only casualty. Ore Aku would have been a modern classic if it had more action but the second third didn't have any and that hurt it. Bullbuster a d Red Ranger Isekai also failed to deliver and those ended up being really bad as a result. It's like you're expected to be a lord of the mouth that talks dialogue before you press play or some shit.

Thirding, with this genre outside of garbage like Patlabor you were guaranteed to get action scenes more often then not. And then Code Geass happened and now the industry wants to be Code Geass. I'm not saying Lagrange was ground zero for being a talk slog, but that's the earliest example I know before words got trendy.

Lagrange was not ground zero, that was Xenoglossia. Folks back then used to remember men and women have different tastes. Then that aired followed by Macross Frontier. Those are probably the talkaholic influences that started this.

OP thinks Gundam stopped being action oriented in 2011 and G-Quuuuuux is the first series to go back to action scenes. Another anon thinks there's a samefag conspiracy afoot.
