Arc's animation is an improvement over devolution I guess, the design is just shit.
Rising is super two attack wars with low fps, shit.
A. Advent is a boring ship. I'm not a fan of these og ships to be honest, and I hate that the mc will probably the captain's subordinate again.
Dynazenon is pretty cool, but the 3d models look washed out. Same as VF-31 in the trailers.
I'm still coping that all the wing boys will get new attacks or an operation meteor combo, but probably not.
My bet's still on Char managing to gain control of A.Advent and trying to colony drop it.

I feel like with Arc it's a case if, if you didn't like how it looks to begin with, it's not gonna look good to you no matter what other media it's in, be it anime, manga or game. And Arc's design is definitely a polarising design since it's first appearance.

If they don't have the means to make animated cuts anymore they could at least make something like Cross Rays, which even static it's decent for secondary pilots, you can easily do it for any pilot in the game, and it's also easily moddable since a lot of people have made things based on it. For MC they can still do special cut-in.

-They introduced orientation. For attacks and changes based on terrain. This was slowly phased out until it was done away with in V.
-Skill points are gone and game systems keep getting simplified or cut (I miss sword cut so much).
-Attack lists end up comically short, with units at times literally having a weapon on them that goes completely unused (like a gun or sword).
-Unit variety on both sides suffer. Some shows now struggle to get more than a handful of enemy units, while ally units might skip the early game units in favor of upgrades from the start.
-Cut-ins are gone, so now side units, that rarely got special cockpit cutins, will now get nothing. If pilot swapping exists, these special cutins could be disabled, giving us less reason to do so.
-HD sprites took too long, so now 3D models are being used and some units don't even hide it.
-Choreography seems to get less consistent as the years for by. A combination of HD and proportion changes, along with staffing changes have lead to huge difference in animation quality, and it doesn't help that some old animators didn't adapt well to the changes during the HD era.
-Instrumental tracks keep getting cut. In some cases they don't even bother to update decade old tracks or reuse an old one. You can tell they just want people to buy the premium sound version.

Exia has high crit mods on its main spam moves against grunts, so the +10% Crit also serves as a damage buff.

The real issue with Attack Again on Setsuna (and many other pilots) is that the thresholds in Hakai are nasty against the enemies that matter. Setsuna for example will need to spend something like ~600PP to start doing it decently on mooks and you simply do not have that much PP to spare until NG+. Predict is a cheap alternative if you want to get into skill slot replacements since you can trash Blocking or Counter and have more consistent rates without needing to rely on spirits.
I wonder if series that were in 30 can now have their second theme as the battle theme without needing to buy the premium sound pack. Like can L-Gaim have Kaze No Reply by default in Y?

Confuse isn't even that expensive in Z2 it's like 50 on average. Costs way more in some of the older games and it's still worth it there. And most you clear the grunts out in a couple of turns and mop up any major enemies with the usual defensive stuff so you don't need to use literally all of the ones I mentioned, but they're the ones I remembered using. Luca was the only one who was just there for Confuse, Shuttle's a god tier support unit and the rest were all fighting shit.

Confuse is a good spirit for helping out with evasion but I generally dont like casting it unless I can get some serious mileage from all of the engagements that I'm going to take. If its just one or two pilots with iffy hit/dodge rates, you can just shore it up with parts/skills/auras instead of using a spirit for like 2 enemies.

Its the strongest spirit in the series defensively besides Invincible in BX. Using it saves SP for other shit on everyone else, especially if its coming from a subpilot or someone who isn't doing anything else anyways
And there's very few stages where you actually have to ration SP much in the first place across any game. Squad games especially there's no reason not to spam it.
