Here's a copy of my post from the Godzilla thread on how I feel about Ultraman powerscaling and a potential crossover with Godzilla:
The issue with Ultraman is that his series is very inconsistent when it comes to power level which is why I don't argue with Ultramanfags. This isn't me saying he's weaker or stronger, just that, it's so plot reliant that it really ruins the narrative. Look at how kaijus are treated and when reappeared, they are either a joke or super weak.
Leugocyte is a kaiju who was the final boss of Ultraman R/B, who is a space bloodcell that can destroy planets with a single beam. Rosso and Blu struggle with this kaiju and yet, when it reappeared for Ultra Fight Galaxy, it fought Ultraman 80 and lost in under a minute. That doesn't make sense, if it's a final boss kaiju, why was it way weaker all of a sudden? Speaking of 80, Gymaira. A kaiju that absolutely destroy 80 so hard, it was a two-parter. However, when it appears during Trigger, he got jump on (literally) and died from a single blast, no struggle, no fight, nothing. Hell, Ultraman defense doesn't seem that strong either. There so many times, you multiple Ultramen, fighting a kaiju with no special power or beam and yet start blinking red when they start taken a few hits, despite the fact they should be able to tank it.
That's the issue with Ultraman, it's inconsistent. Ultraman is strong, yes, but there is too many times things where it's just all over the place.
>buff Godzilla/Ultraman
In what way? I already talk about Ultraman, now let's talk about Godzilla. He's inconsistent too, considering almost every movie is a different version of him. Who are you going to buff, 1954, being the first and most basic/weakest one or Ultima, the one who's very existences that will destroy the universe itself? Just let them both appeared, it's going to be entertaining either way.
