GQX got quickly added to Gundam Breaker 4 too, and obviously the Eternal mobile game, so no appearance in DD, even as an event unrelated to the main plot. seems odd.

Personally I'm still of the mind the theme is going to be grouping them being based around the phrase that keeps popping up in the trailers, Looming Calamity and Inevitable Ruin. Even if that just winds up being the pack names or something and there's not much theming going on.

Still, I think it would be interesting, especially if each path is based on some bad futures where Getter/Godzilla went rampant and so both have their own flavors of post-apocalyptic or other weird series where Earth's in disarray or humans are practically nonexistent or something.

No, those only exarcebate already existing problems. As long as you dont run around in deathballs, units with higher movement will naturally get more combat than those with less. Pairs change it from 30 singles to 15 pairs of 2 and so this gives the slower units/supporters more ways to help out.
