If I had my way I'd also do a Devil update and a Kowloon before this too but Mandala's far above the Mermaid, Nether, Tequila etc. It's not just a goofy design and like the other anon said Kyral is actually a character that does things, which is a lot more than most of the meme G designs by a landslide. The Heavenly Kings get less than he does apart from Master Asia.

The way you keep track of it is to remember that all of the 90s AU Gundams are literal midgets.

The RX-78-2 was 18 meters tall and MS size ballooned out of control all throughout Early UC, before the era of miniaturization that came with Late UC due to advances in Minovsky reactor technology. Shining and Wing Gundams were around the 16-meter height mark, 2 meters shorter than the RX-78-2, with the GX being only 1 meter shorter at 17.1 meters; compare this with the Late UC Gundams, with both the F91 and V1 Gundams being 15.2 meters tall, only just barely shorter than Wing and Shining.

Strictly speaking, the Devil Gundam is supposed to be about 50% taller than the God Gundam (officially 23.9 meters vs. 16.6 meters), but in animation it looks a hell of a lot more intimidating if it's twice as large or even more. And who the fuck cares about numbers when we're talking about G Gundam.

Nah, Bandai's MG has a random quality. Celebrated designs like Sazabi gets alot of love, but most of MG feels low efforted. They are just giant HG with better part separation and basic structural skeleton. Modern HGs and RGs pretty much catched up to MG nowadays.

Yeah. Shop2000 has better cast quality in general and eventually manufactures everything. One of my gripes is that e2046's recasts will sometimes be recasts of Shop2000's recasts. You can avoid that by sticking with kits that are marked as 'exclusive' as that means they at least have the original.

I was watching an MG Turn A auction on Goodwill, and dipped as soon as it got over 30. It just ended at 71. That kit goes for like 50 on Amazon, and 46+10 shipping on Newtype. I was considering the Weapon pack for the RG RX-78-2 2.0 since I finally got around to getting it, but I Beam Spear in it and that's definitely not worth the $37 it'd cost to get it by itself with shipping included. Wish it came with a second core fighter, since the RG 2.0 core fighter is much nicer than the 1.0's, but it's also required to go in the suit unlike the 1.0's. I was close to grabbing it, because when I initially did the "shipping now" search it showed the RG Uma Lightning Zaku for some reason.

I thought about it, but there are a number of paint defects that I decided to keep for the artsy reason of "Showing the learning moment". Like how a number of my gray pieces have partially missing paint coverage on the sides as I got lazy and painted on the runner. Or some white pieces being very gray as that batch I didn't mix the paint in the container enough.
The frosted looks OK outside of the back of the beam rifle. The feet are the next worse, but it looks like it went through a cloud while cold and got frosted from the vapor.
