Banno has a presence hanging over quite a lot of the series in Drive, and is perhaps the most "fuck you, Dad" Dad in all of Rider. Saying he's a Literal Who is disingenuous. He's intimately tied to most every element of the show. Banno is way more integrated than, say, the Orphenoch King or Nβ€’Daguva Zeba

Banno was there since the middle of the show and he's not a literal who, he is the creator of the Roidmudes. Sigma Circular is the culmination of his plan, not really a character per se. And Heart outlives the both of them.

I don't hate it, because the first form is usually the iconic form. Rider #1 didn't need a super ultra suit with shit taped all over it. Final Forms were like a Heisei starting thing, and when they reappear in later films, they're almost always in base form, not in final form.

The exception to Rider #1 is when they did that final form for Rider #1 in that later movie because Hiroshi Fujioka is a bigger guy now.

Yes, that's the Sigma Circular. I already told you why that thing is less a character in its own right and more an extension of Banno, it's the machine he was building in the last few episodes to trigger the next Global Freeze. And Heart outlives both it and Banno anyways.

Its not quite a parallel, but Lakia's arc of grieving for the loss of a family member at least resonate with Lizel losing her dad and Jeebh losing his twin.

On paper it's a good development with the right setups but it feels too sparse with so little struggle going on for the wrap up. I'd guess that they want to give the actual fights plenty of breathing room to breathe.

People say Lango's been dull and does nothing but I quite like how psychopathic he's played. Not the usual serial killer kind but the cold, zero empathy corporate businessman who's willing to work with anyone regardless as long as it brings him closer to his goals. He nailed that bit at the start reminding the trio that people are at stake with that completely indifferent tone. To him everything is just a tool, a trophy or an obstacle to be dealt with and I really don't get the sense that his objectives are born out of passion but vanity in being the head of the Stomachs and the Granutes. This reaction here is curious since it implies he's both frustrated and disappointed with Shouma on how he sees treats. There being a fundamental inability to see eye to eye with each other should be fertile ground for a good final "Dousuru?" to wrap up the series with.

Those granutes wants dark treats that make them happy. Lango's different in that he only sees them as tools for power. This extends out to his family which usually bring happiness in most cases. Glotta and the twins clearly have affection for one another. Even Nyelv took pride in being a Stomach and could bring himself to treat Shouma and Suga as partners. Lango however killed their humanfucker dad to take over, was going to marry off the twins for more influence and barely blinks when anyone of them dies. It's a totally different perspective that completely clashes with Shouma's on how to live and appreciate those around you and thus a good bit of thematic contrast for Shouma's final challenge.

If he was a complete unfeeling monster far worse than his siblings like you make him out to be, he would've finished Glotta off for being too weak or something and would just talk about restoring his own position. His issues with Bouche ran deeper than just wanting to usurp him for the sake of being the one at the top, he was clearly disturbed and weirded out by his father's decisions like the rest of the siblings were, he isn't nonchalant about everything.

But that's also why I wish we got more of the actor instead of Jiip or the Bocca parts that felt really underutilized. There was a lot of room for more "huh?" reactions and him being annoyed at the profits going down. The choice to have him play dead and come back to backstab Bocca is really good, but way too close to the end to be as impactful.
