Imagine being so good, that Armored Core copies your design…

The original Highlander was inspired by Shockwave from Transformers. It's all cyclical.

All of these are bad. Western mecha always look terrible because they lack the fundamentals of Japanese design philosophy and artistic lineage.

shame those designs were wasted on the awful sequel

The Eldar mechs from Warhammer 40,000 are so fucking cool.

The only one of those designs that's good is Saber Athena. Besides her, only Obsidian Fury is the only good Jaeger design from that film.

Not even, the only good one is November Ajax
Anonymous No.23479566 [Report]
>>23479514
November Ajax is fine. He doesn't feel especially notable, which is the problem with the Uprising designs. You put them next to the variety that is Gipsy Danger, Cherno Alpha, Crimson Typhoon and Striker Eureka, and they just look so samey and dull by comparison.

But was it though? The similarities are pretty tenuous. Was it stated somewhere that was the inspiration?

I could see maybe the original Shockwave box art being half remembered factoring into the first depiction of the highlander, but it's definitely not a trace job like the Atlas/Scopedog. Someone should ask Knutson.

Yeah this is a huge stretch. If anything the Basho has more details in common with the Destroid Spartan or even a Legioss.

eh, that's more like a humvee shooting a 50 cal at an anthill. The best part of Kill Lupercal is the tense little bit where the pack is being hunted by that shadowsword. It's a good tense moment.

If you listened to the first audiobook it's more of the same. And much like the game, it focuses more on infantry than mechs or vehicles. A good chunk of it is out on the stellar jockies youtube, I'd give it a listen.

As for the general plot. It focuses on one of the killteams sent to a corporate world that the SNC was based out of, with the purpose of killing the brigadors from the first game.

Imagine being better than the original destroid design, get a insane upgrade deemed a legend until a perfect state wreck was found and easy to be reverse engineered and rebuilt in less than a year, courtesy of Charles II of Spa.... ii mean THE ilKhan himself who saw a great opportunity reviving the II and III with clan tech

I can't because that looks like bootleg garbage. Japan made enough of that themselves.
