Pretty good Custom BGM I found on the Steam Forums. Doesn't cause the slow loading the previous one caused me either (Though I also moved the game to the same folder as my appdata folder too)

The UI is pretty shit but I'm enjoying the writing and the fact that Expert is legitimately quite challenging. Having a good time so far. Dynazenon seems really good, he feels like the only unit I can trust to survive on his own (with some assist support) if I send him somewhere. The morale changes in Expert are backbreaking, to the point where seeing the level 2 Assist Benefit for Mari is +2 Morale for everyone on sortie made me extremely excited.

There are some Macross songs that are in the game but not in the Premium Sound edition, meaning they only exist as instrumental arrangements, and now we can no longer do universal BGM replacements. Of the few I've unlocked. Mari seems like an absolute godsend for Expert, it's +2 Morale for the entire squad on deploy. It's not much, but with the Expert morale rules any little bit helps. Although I did just unlock the second ring of the MxP upgrades and can see that there's +2 morale per turn upgrades in there so it'll probably get outclassed over time. I'm currently split between making my life easier by going for the morale per turn or sp regen upgrades or going down the economy route with more mxp and money per stage. I just feel like at 100 mxp per stage and a 5000 cost it's going to take so damn long for it to pay for itself...

First impressions after playing the first 2 stages (got Dynazenon and Getter)

-The story and interactions so far are good, I like the background of the war between Lelouch and Char. The writing is more coherent than 30 (which wasn't bad but it needed more work).
-The remixes are ASS. The Macross opening is the best one, but the bar is really low. I understand that since everyone is going to use custom music Bamco didn't even bother with the music but still.
-It is going to take some time to get used to the UI, simplicity is fine but they overdid it.
-Forte is great, I love her happy-go-lucky personality, and I like her design better than Chitose and the X-Omega slampigs.

Gameplay is w/e for me because I'm a story gamer and I bought the ultimate edition meaning I've fully kitted out three starter units. I could just not take the dlc but I was showing the game off to some friends so I just grabbed it to blitz through some stuff and then I had to stop early. Sort of torn on whether or not to restart and do hard without taking the DLC stuff but I'll probably just continue my current file since I mostly play for the story, characters, and seeing cool robots.
