The pre-battle UI is fine. Battle animations should be snappier about cutting rather than fading to black, it's particularly notable with Rex Roar where the animation freezes before the fade to black. Battle skip should be way faster, it takes much too long for something you're doing to go quickly and the only way to speed it up also causes you to not see what happened.

I'm not particularly a Macross fan. I have high regard for the historical show with Hikaru, and Macross Plus because it's truly an excellent OVA.
I like Basara as a character in Macross 7 and I like it when he's in SRW, but I remember his show being quite boring. Macross Frontier is kind of the opposite for me: a good show, but I don't like Alto at all. Oh from Macross Plus the YF-19 is peak macross mecha design for me.

Linebarrel Wufei will always him at his best, it is one of the few cases where his gimmick not only worked well with being part of the Kaito group or the whole Justice thing, but it actually made him have an impact in another series plot to the point Japan still jokes about him being a Linebarrel character.

I think the main issue is that none of the WfM stuff seems to tie into the main plot. Like even EW here ties into the OG villains. None of the tWfM plot really goes anywhere here. Suletta is only involved in the story after they're done adapting tWfM episodes because she's friends with the other characters, living in the A.Advent and working with the Macross girls. They do stuff like sending Miorine and Suletta on a completely original date, but don't touch on the actual serious plot/lore of the show.

I know they didn't have the entire plot... but... this game itself gives lore and resolution about Getter Saint Dragon that doesn't exist anywhere else.

They really should have tied the GUND stuff into the OG villains somehow. It's not like they're getting a direct sequel where they will adapt the s2 plot.

Like it was said the previous thread something that hurt 30 was it felt like a lot of the stages were just focused on one series doing its thing. Y certainly has a couple but so far there's definitely more of a feel that Yz-Next truly does have each others backs.

No way they're doing s1 so detailed again after this game though. It doesn't cover the last couple of episodes, but the amount of screentime each episode gets here is unlikely to be repeated in the future.

Since they didn't allow keeping Elan alive, and didn't create original Lore for the stuff unanswered in s1, might as well go ahead and throw in s1 finale and a rushed s2 adaptation in the Expansion.

Bur Wmwe are in personal opinions here. I'm not a fan of Dynazenon show, but I quite like the characters here in SRW Y and how they interact with the rest, more than Gridman.

Domon is exceptional and works really well in a mentor role. Heero and Suletta in Chapter 2 are probably the most memorable things about WfM ,in fact, I'm sad there aren't many more moments like these after the Dorothy event.

There are also things that i don't like. I don't like how they handled Koji; his entrance was anticlimactic and lacking in drama. IMHO, he should have joined earlier and been allowed to co-pilot Great. Then, during the mission where you try to reach the Photon lab before it's destroyed, at the most dramatic moment, when all the enemies surround the A.Advent, Koji with his Pilder would have replicated his famous flying lock-on with Mazinkaiser, which was launched from space.

I just gave God Gundam the Hyper Generator from relic missions.
Domon blows all his EN on the enemy turn counter attacking and he's back to full next turn.

There's also 2 Archetype parts dropped by a boss, but said boss is only in ch7 so probably not the best idea. Maybe for NG+?
