The new rival banter Sage has with Silver implies she will become a major threat in the future, and it's caused a massive boom in fan art. And I like it.

Not really. Frontiers is ok, and Mania and Shadow Generations are pretty good. Other than that, nothing of value has really been lost by not playing modern Sonic games. The new racing game is looking alright, but that remains to be seen until release.

Not even sure how necessary this is anymore. I think with the enormous power level jumps as of late, game Sonic is on par with Archie. I guess Super Sonic rewriting all of reality in Archie is an okay feat.

All of the E-Series robots up until Omega came off as kinda useless for me. I wonder what their intended purpose is. Zero got wrecked by Amy, Beta through Zeta were really no match for Sonic (outside of Gamma's story I guess?), Phi was mass produced and got wrecked in droves, Chaos Gamma was ineffective and even beaten by a broken-down busted Emerl. Only Omega, the one that absolutely hates Eggman, was a real success.

I think the E Series is just a case of huge mishandling, for what it's worth Zero for example seemed really tanky and crazy strong but had no guns, only going down after a extended battle with Amy, Beta and the others got stuck doing a competition and being turned against each other for no real reason and Omega was locked away defending relatively useless shit that could have been done by literally anything else

He didnt intend to, the problem is Eggman sucks at AI, which his why his most devastating parts of his arsenal is manned by himself. E-101 until Omega, was too complex for the standard use of putting brainwashed critters in them, Omega developed common sense and began hating him, same with Metal sonic who goes rogue and cares solely about being better than sonic. Emerl from Sonic Advance 3 went beserk because too much Chaos emerald power. The only time he has success with AI was like the eggbots from Heroes and forward.
