It's probably just better tolerances than your old brush. There isn't any reason they can't be as good as a traditional airbrush, but by the time you make it as good it would cost more.

Full Armour ZZ is the powerup at the end of ZZ gundam for the ZZ Gundam
FAZZ is just FAZZ, it is a prototype for the Full Armour equipment in Sentinel. It can't transform and doesn't have full functionality of the parts either, and it cannot take the armour off and become a ZZ. It is just FAZZ. As the models are concerned, they share a ton of parts but also have some key differences. The most easily recognizable one is the backpack, the FAZZ is a different shape and its beam cannons aren't actually removable and usable as beam sabres, the whole design of them has been made "cannon only." The head is also very different with FAZZ's being longer. There's more but those are the key ones.

The FAZZ was a prototype testbed to fit the Full Armor onto the Enhanced ZZ. That means that

1. The FAZZ can't transform
2. The FAZZ's armor can't be purged
3. The FAZZ has weighted dummies in place of several weapons (including, critically, the beam sabers)
4. The FAZZ was a lot cheaper and easier to build
5. The FAZZ could be completed faster than the Full Armor ZZ

oh and the Japanese often differentiate them by saying FA ZZ as shorthand for "Full Armour ZZ Gundam" which is the loner name. To get another autistic layer deep on this it really is "Full Armour Enhanced ZZ Gundam," because the base unit under the armour is the Enhanced ZZ Gundam, but they never actually animated the Enhanced ZZ in ZZ Gundam because lazy animators.

I'm actually devastated. I bought some action bases and was actually really happy to have something nice in my space instead of clutter and shit everywhere, but no, now it all has to be packed away or thrown out. The MG FAZZ Ver. Ka uses like 95-98% of the same parts as the MG ZZ Ver. Ka, purely out of convenience. It costs less to just outright use most of the MG ZZ's runners and give the consumer a shitload of extra parts, than it does to actually make the molds for a lore-accurate FAZZ.

what i learned from DSPIAE power tools after owning a couple is that they're meant to be cheap alternatives to otherwise expensive ones like the David routers and sanders, but at the cost of being underpowered and less adaptability compared to the real thing. you can buy a cheap chinkshit airbrush for the same price which functionally works the same as the legit ones like Badger. though i can see DSPIAE's advantage at being able to airbrush directly from gundam markers. personally, my dislike about the DSPIAE airbrush is that it's too light since it's entirely made of plastic.

i did have a cheap $10 rechargable portable rotor like that. it did work fine with upto 800 grit, but with 1000 grit, you need to do it manually.

but since what i had was cheap, the battery died down in 3 months of usage and theres no replacement battery

I have big regret using the metal frame for my Nu ver ka. It's cool, but it was a pain in the ass that required glue for some parts. It just feel like a hand grenade, and the extra weight makes posing on the stand pretty impossible because the legs are so heavy. The improved support for the fins was excellent, though. Part of me wants to strip it back and and just use those, but idk if that's possible.

Building the Moderoid Chamber and what the fuck are those waterslide decals?!
They're way thicker than any other I've ever worked with and almost feel like vinyl/latex.
On one hand they're way more sturdy and borderline idiot-proof (as in that they don't rip if you're not careful) and they feel almost like paint when dry but on the other you have to almost drown them in mark softer until they soften up enough to get into panel lines and around corners.

I know it is a cheap cash grab since its conception, but Stein is my guilty pleasure. Fun build, color separated enough to snapshit and part separated enough to paint. However, the fact that this guy is the superior kit compares to Sinanju is abit tragic.

All right, I've gone and done it. Any suggestions? I was already planning to paint it in Spec-II colors, but now that I have two I need to think about what to do with the second one. Current ideas range from turning it into a transformation kitbash (the Destiny's wings would be really good for that), to a meme recolor like the Freedom Gundam ver. USA that's painted in stars and stripes (something like Manifest Destiny or some shit).

If it weren't for the problems with them not adhering to the shape of the part unless you absolutely soak them in softener I'd actually prefer them, too - probably would look kinda crappy with stuff like nosecone art and the like, thou.
Also, while I really like the Chamber model and I understand that's just how the markings/colors on the original are, they still could've added SOME sort of lines or markings as guidance for the decals. Especially the ones on the tights are a bit of a crapshoot, even with the instructions.

Like the other stuff, you can buy the pile bunker separate. I think it even has a setup for a Godos to use. The Night Patrol comes with a normal and a gold plated PB as well if me morty serves. I think I posted this before, but I was messing around with the hard points and found I could get the Wild Weasel Unit gatlings onto a raptor, and I love it. I've also retro fit the PB onto the WWU, but I still need to build my second one. It's a silly thing. The gun raptor is sweet, though.

I think plamo hobby stores have it rough. Most people don't compulsively buy new kits and paint all the time like they do CCGs or surface level things like funko pops. Rent prices are so high in a lot of places that they can't have much shelf space, and what space they have needs to be dedicated to things that actually move. I think if you want your local plamo hobby store to change, support them regularly and get to know the owner. Let them know that you'd buy certain products if they had them in stock, or ask if they could order things for you. It's a lot less risky to order stock if they know it's a guaranteed sale.

Yeah. It's pretty easy to paint though. What I did was painting the whole part gold, letting it cure and then putting a layer of black over it. As soon as the black dried (like 10 minutes) I carefully removed it from the raised parts with an 8000 grit sanding sponge.
