Outside of Mk II, I don't find any of the Zeta designs particularly appealing except for Rick Dias.

They realized giving Jerid a cool boss shot like Byarlant was a mistake and quickly corrected it by giving him a much more appropriately terrible suit.

I fucking LOVE the Byalant.

I was kinda annoyed when we got a variant in Unicorn and it had big huge forearm claws. The weird, spindly forearms are part of the Byalant's charm!

And tiptoes... I'm getting a bit irked by the sweeping popularity of adding tiptoes to MSs.

Great head, color scheme and silhouette, silly crotch and butt areas, retarded wimpy ""arms"".

I liked the byarlant custom for being a Frankenstein of scrapped titans prototypes, slapping on baund doc legs and gabthley leg-arms just for maximum claws.

It's such a strange design, but in a good way. It feels like there was more creativity allowed in gundam designs in the 80s. I mean, I cant see designs like the Baund Doc, Byalant, Qubeley or Hamrabi being allowed in a Gundam show in 2025

The Byarlant suffered severe damage during the escape from Zedan and Rosamia's Bound Doc was still laying around without a proper pilot. I believe in the Zeta novels Jerid showed enough Newtype potential that another unit was sent directly for his use since he could utilize its Psychommu system.

When modern Gundam has such a massive budget and huge backing from Bandai, the best they can come up with is....an Rx-78 Gundam clone with more scribbly lines (pic related). They call it Unicorn but it's really just the old Gundam all over again. Same rifle and shield design just with more power. And when it transforms...it turns into a Gundam with sparkles. Reminds me of Sailor Moon.

Even though I hate Hathaway's story, at least the mecha are UNIQUE and memorable looking.

I have no idea what's wrong with modern Bandai mecha designers. They just copied Tomino and Okawara.

Sore demo, it has become my favorite Gundam design, 2nd is the Gundam Ground Type followed by the Gundam Alex.

I know the Zeong was derived from the Braw Bro but I still thought giving the Kikeroga its Zeong moment against Char's Red Gundam was pretty silly. Speaking of funky designs and Zeong clones, the Febral's a cool design. Could use a more interesting paint job but it's a cool suit.
