Mid episode and 2-parter overall. This arc is technically important since there's a few plot reveals but it somehow managed to feel like a run of the mill weekly 2-parter in spite of that, with someone as important as Nem's adoptive father being seemingly just another victim of the week. Despite the episodes being heavily centered around Nem, she herself didn't get to say or do much in them at all, and coupled with how stupid she acted in the previous episode, I'm not really sold on the character yet. Nox was more active in this arc as well, but he just did generic villain stuff and spouted cryptic bullshit like always, and I'm not surprised that he has something to do with Nem's kidnapping especially since he's the only recurring villain in the show so far, I'm not not sold on him just yet either.
The President's excuse for not informing the police about Nem's disappearance is somewhat understandable but still a bit dumb and extremely convenient for the plot. People commented on how much they made him look like a creep last week, and I think that might've been an intentional red herring for the audience just like when they made it look like the bride from the previous arc didn't want to get married. And with all the detective stuff this show has been leaning on, I'm surprised Baku didn't recall the fact that Nem's a self aware lucid dreamer as a clue that she's indeed alive and not just a dream construct. I also hope Minami doesn't get hit with the retard stick and just ignores all the extremely obvious proof that points to her brother being an Agent.
The PSB are pretty much just there to provide a few key clues (or sometimes none at all, like in the previous arc) to Baku and little else, Fujimi gets everything wrong and Nasuka's just there to rub it in his face, I feel like them being kept in the dark about most of the CODE stuff might be hurting their characters' relevancy but I doubt that's gonna change anytime soon, I hope I'm proven wrong though.
