I know this is cape shit, but the one tiny thread that's about to snap that relates this to /m/ is Mecha Man. Dunno if anyone here has tried the game yet, but I'm willing to risk it for the 0.1% of people who have.

Videogame, or deckbuilding roguelike choices matter?

I fucking forgot this came out and that I have the demo installed. They're walking a very fine line with the writing that I've liked from what I've seen, but I'm hesitant to buy the whole game because I know how the style they're going for can really get on my nerves if it's done wrong. Also it's an episodic release which I didn't care for even when it was in vogue to do these kinds of releases for games. Might be something I end up getting when the full game releases on a discount.

It's a Telltale game with an actual gameplay component, you basically boss around a legally distinct Suicide Squad of former supervillains to fight minor crimes and get cats out of trees. Think like This is the Police or similar style squad management games. The character you play as was a former Iron Man style superhero who got his ass kicked and armor damaged so now he's doing desk work instead of fighting crime himself. Maybe later he gets the armor back but don't expect it to be an action game.

People have been doing this for years. Usually it's some /co/ shit that vaguely references mecha in some degree but it's the same thing really. Frankly I don't think I'd even mind so much if they just did it more openly and honestly with confidence instead of this "IS IT /m/?" or, well, what OP's trying to do. Just say "Here's a game I saw and like and it has a dude with a robot." Of course there's not an unreasonable chance that OP is also a shill. Vague post, no real point of discussion outside the product name. But for the sake of argument I'm just going to pretend he's simply a retard.

It's not like this thread killed any threads of real value. I've never minded it at all honestly, unless we are literally being spammed with off-topic or barely relevanr threads it doesn't matter. I feel like OP wanted to talk about something tangentially /m/, extremely tangentially, because /v/ is an unusable hellscape. Although I do really like the idea of someone being paid to shill a fucking Telltale game on /m/ of all places, it's funny to imagine some marketer going to the assend of 4chan for that.

So far I think it's phenomenal.

I enjoyed it, hoping to see more of the actual mech again soon. Got a bit pissed because I didn't know it was episodic release, I got all comfy for the night planning to see the whole story in one sitting only to be stopped just when it was getting good.

Curious to see how he'll lead his suicide squad from the front while also managing the whole 'dispatch' game system.

Yeah that's what I mean. I hope it trends closer to the former rather than the latter. The Boys is just so goddamn edgy and stupid, it feels like it hates the thing it's parodying. And Garth Ennis certainly does when it comes to the comics. Also I really do hate American media's obsession with having constant, licensed insert songs. I don't even care if it's a genre I like it just always takes me out of what I'm watching/playing if it happens all the time.
