Overmen were pretty cool but King Gainer was ironically way too busy visually compared to the rest, it's immediately mogged by the Rush Rod and once the Golem is out there's no hope for it to catch up to the rest of the overmen in terms of aesthetics.
Ironically, just taking out the chest piece like in the first fight with Dominator makes it look way better, that, the belt, pouch and asymmetrical shoes combined with the dreadlocks is just too much on the eyes.

the realistic approach of fabric joint coverings is cool but the toys head to Barbie Town quick or you get shitty plastic hard fake cloth which defeats the purpose
iirc the ancient TV Ingram kit used a rubbery plastic that felt similar to the polycap stuff
