Haropla Haro Basic Green. It's the #12 version, not the #1 version. The Haro Loader and Haro Fitter use this version of the mold for half-and-half color variations. The mouth itself has 3mm peg holes for those who want to use them, but only really thin objects can make the mouth still close fully.

From your experience, do decals on bare plastic end up peeling off? If so how long after application?

Its going very slow for what it is but I did a tiny bit on my groupbuild model.
Working with epoxy for the first time is fun, though its hell with the gloves on so I may just stop wearing them.
I have only done simple paint jobs before so going beyond that I am quite the amateur, I am liking how its looking though.
I am gonna throw more epoxy on there and then move on to the next stages of it.
From the other wips I have seen it seems people are really bringing their best for this theme, they all look really cool.
I haven't seen any others with a plant theming so I am glad that's what I went with.

After working on it on and off for a few months I'm finally done with The Azure Knight Ordine Moderoid. It's all handpainted and even though I've made a lot of stupid mistakes (always sand parts that rub together before painting with acrylics) I'm pretty satisfied with the results, I hope I can do better with Valimar when I get to him.
That being said, this is an horrible kit, it's a hand grenade and the engineering is worse than most 90s HGs, not to mention the fact the he can barely stand and carry his twinblade. Never gonna change his pose, that's for sure.
I really hope all the other Moderoids aren't like this one.

Finished snapping the Sazabi for my work office decoration kits. Still need to do water slides and a matte coat.
Thoughts on this paired posing? Trying to make it like they are dashing past each other while shooting. Made the Nu pose a while ago and think I want to keep it or something close to it. Maybe could do a beam axe charge on the Sazabi instead?

I do use gloss sometimes, and do agree it works great depending on the kit (used it on this one last). I was planning on matte though as this is going to work and I won't be dusting it too often (and obviously the office cleaners won't). Matte is going to look less noticeably dusty.

That's gloss, Sazabi needs HIGH gloss. Wet sand/polish, SHINE. I keep a Gundam XX on my desk and desu dusting him is just a little dust brush I keep for my keyboard anyway once a month. Best of luck in either case anon, your setup would 10/10 make me stop and chat about Gundam.

How common is it for builders to just go for a straight out of bottle paintjob without any mixing?
I'd be lying if I wasn't tempted to just scroll through an online store and pick a color closest to the one I want instead of following the 3-4 color mixes prescribed in the manual.

It probably is given that it has a lot of the same parts. The leg connection joint is so bad, they could've just used a ball joint but choose not to for some reason: it's a cilinder stuck into a moving polycap.

If you get a chrome finish on it and hit it with a light coat of mr.super smooth clear matte it'll look like that. The stuff says matte but it's closer to a satin.

Planning more builds to knock out the backlog. The marasai is going to be in neo zeon gray. All the light gray parts will be silver. The inner part of the shield won't be so garish since there's a bunch of shit inside of the shield on the master grade.

Hmmm good price on the Ghost unit, I might pick up two copies to make the 'complete' form with both arms.
I know they made the MK2 but I'm personally not a fan of the lil backpack arms it has for the boost pods.

Finished snapping together R-Gray 1, will probably end up fully painting it, since there are quite a lot of areas that still need proper color separation.

Built mine recently too, the shoulders/arms were a nightmare to keep up and I ended up using super glue to make sure they did not fall.

IT'S HERE!

Picked up one of these Dispae eraser things for panel lining cleanup, but found it works really nice for decals. The rubber is porous so it can hold thinner/lighter fluid, and so it cleans up all the extra setter. It's also a nice flat firm surface, so it's been nice for both moving decals, but also squeezing the extra setter from beneath them.

so today I worked on the 1/100 Bangdoll's arms and holy shit, they are by far the worst aspect of the kit
it is such an intricate build of this section that also is flimsy as hell and it seems will need a fuckton of superglue right at the elbows to even hold together
equuipping the weapons seems like a no no with such structure
