The worst season is one of three: Ninninger, Lupinranger, or Ryusoulger. Ninninger is the worst Sentai ever made on an episode-by-episode basis: almost no episodes of it are good, Shurikenjin is a horrible clusterfuck that only gets even worse with upgrades, and Takaharu is such a bad red that even the show eventually acknowledged it.

LuPat is good on an episode-by-episode basis, in fact I'd even say the average episode is fucking great. It's also the only show I've ever ragequit. I've dropped other shows because I was bored by them, but I dropped LuPat because it was actually making me angry to watch it. Not a single ongoing plot is handled well. The two teams gimmick is slanted completely in favor of the Lupins because they lose if they ever lose a single Collection piece, so aside from a single cliffhanger where it looks like they might have lost for once, they always win. The show tries to make up for this by giving the Patrangers lots of moral victories and showing them being just as strong with no upgrades as the Lupins are with all of them, but at some point moral victories aren't a substitute for actually getting a win. Sentai plots live and die on their villain dynamics, and the Ganglers have no villain dynamic because the only Ganglers who appear in more than one episode are the ones who aren't competing for Dogranio's throne and have no interest in usurping him in any way. Noel is the worst sixth.

Ryusoulger isn't as technically inept as Ninninger and its overarching plot isn't quite as bad as LuPat's, but it's the most empty, vapid, nothing season of them all. It was called Ryusoulless while it was airing for a reason. It's a pure paint-by-numbers season where none of the heroes have a personality to speak of, no plot point does anything even remotely interesting, and somehow the Druidon have even more of a skeleton crew than the Ganglers and spend most of the show with exactly one enemy general in existence at a time, plus Kreon.
