SSSS Gridman, SSSS Dynazenon and the Gridman Universe movie are extremely good, if you're a mecha fan that is. /m/ will bitch and moan about how the genre is dead, but when we get a new, modern, non-pozzed, true super robot show, they will still complain about it. I was one of the 5 people who watched and enjoyed Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad as a kid, so I was kinda excited for SSSS.Gridman, even watched the OG Gridman right before the first episode dropped, and it was fun.
But then I watched SSSS.Gridman, and I didn't like it because it wasn't made for me.
Then they announced SSSS.Dynazenon, and I hoped I would like that. I watched it, and didn't like that one either.

Actual, non-schizo response: It's fine. If you enjoy Trigger's previous efforts and don't mind 3D animated action segments, you'll probably like it. If you're a Tsuburaya fan, you'll like it even more (it references the Ultra series a lot). Anons post about the girls because well, duh. Tell me one anime series that people don't obsess over the female characters. I don't get the one guy in this board with the massive hate boner for it, I guess he's the resident Trigger rager, dude hates everything Trigger puts out just because Gurren Lagann got popular with normalfags and he's still not over it.
Regardless, I think you should watch it and take your own conclusions, it's only 12 episodes anyway (24 if you watch the sequel too).

Yes. It's currently my favorite mecha anime until something better comes along. It isn't perfect, and it's very style over substance, but it has enough grace to close out any plothreads it introduces. Gridman has better action, plot and twists. Dynazenon has better character work, design and OST. Universe has a super sick first half and kind of goes full trigger in the second, but had enough payoff by the end to leave me satisfied. The production value makes it look like the most expensive thing Trigger has ever done. I like Dynazenon the most.

Waifufagging aside, it's pretty good. Not the best thing you'll ever watch, but the characters arcs are engaging and the action is solid (gets better as the show progresses). If we're including its sequel Dynazenon and the crossover movie Gridman Universe, that would elevate it to "great" territory.
