This show handles humor better than drama

So how is the Nightmare fulfilling a bad wish if it's actually doing the opposite of what he wants? The chef wants his students to inherit his restaurant, but the Nightmare wants to ruin the restaurant and his students permanently.

Not sure what that standoff by the PSB accomplished.

I don't understand how a Nightmare in the dream world can affect real-life dishes, especially if the original chef is not doing it. Does the show think the Royale Sauce is mentally connected with the chef? None of the other people involved here are dreaming.

They wanted it to have that bright green to match the idea of it being the catalyst for the poison so shots would frame it as such but I imagine in-universe it's probably sort of like a creamy pesto.

I think that the desire that was meant to be met within the nightmare was the chef catering for the foreign diplomatic meeting.
He was nervous about not doing it and him scheduling his surgery on the same day was probably a way to try and force himself to need to leave it to his students. If he didn't have an urgent top-priority event like that he likely would have tried to take over himself out of fear they couldn't accurately make the sauce.
He wasn't catering IRL but in the dream world it's shown that he directly cooks for the event so in that extent the nightmare was close to fulfilling that, if that's intended to be his bad wish.

Ok episode. The cliffhanger from the last episode got resolved a bit too quickly but at least it didn't make Recovery look like a chump since it's supposed to be the healing form. Comedy was good but I really didn't care about the main case, I was mostly spot on with my prediction that the old man was already ill and worried about the restaurant's future. Nasuka didn't contribute to the case at all again, but she at least got some development and contributed to the main plot instead. I feel like the weekly arc resolutions are lacking because they tend to just end with the victim having a good dream instead of them acting upon whatever realization they might have had after waking up, and they can't even reflect on what the heroes tell them on their dreams because to them they're simply dreams and not something that happened for real. Nox didn't do much other than his usual schtick for most of this episode, but I did like the cliffhanger with him stealing the Recovery Capsem to fix his gear and being revealed as Fujimi's missing partner, though I kinda wish the broken gear's reveal had more build-up.

I think the dream logic is such a good way to use their digital effects. It does still look kinda cheap, like with Zezts and the Nightmare throwing rocks at each other, but dreams always look really wonky and surreal so it doesn't take me out of it. Plus the curtain thing was fucking awesome.

Conflicted on this arc. The chef drama was boring, but all the main plot progression was cool.

It was great. Nem helping Seven, the dreamer's dilemma, the fight, the parallelism between the real world and the dream world in the dinning scene, Nem being pretty, Fujimi being more than the guy that never gets the cases right, police chick being a goddess, Nox's stuff.
What i didn't like was when the politicians got poisoned, they made the choking way too long. They should have timed the nightmare defeat better.

Being able to heal others at the expense of your own energy/life is a big power, though I don't know how well that fits with the usual tokusatsu style. Like, there's a lot you can wring out of the hero giving up his own life force for others, but it needs other people to keep getting hurt, and that could definitely wear thin.

I liked the sequence of the overlapping cook team but coming off like a typical commercial moment by talking in sync like that about the restaurant really takes away from the scene.
