The Asai shit being real got more credible if you consider them filming in advance, letting him go around episode 29 and hoping they could just continue the show with Sumino as long as everyone stayed quiet and swept it under the rug makes sense but then the tabloids got word and they had to stop production in real time (probably in the early 40's). That's why the leaker said the show's filming was on hiatus as they pretty much had their hands tied with so few episodes left and reviewing what footage they had and what needed to be refilmed or chopped up. If anything I'm almost surprised this hitch in production didn't cause some shitty recap episode to air.
