I remember reading a post about how a lot of artists play this game of telephone where they copy each other and as a result they end up copying each other's mistakes
I don't wanna say this is an inherently bad thing since as mentioned before, finding actually good refs is hard if you don't know where to look and also I guess that shouldn't dissuade you from deviating somewhat from being 100% anatomically correct anyways (or even from drawing HVOP if someone wants to do that for whatever reason) but it's one of those things where as soon as you read about it, you can't help but notice it everywhere else

I generally want to draw more anatomically correct stuff but I don't wanna go overboard and go full-Mercurial with my horse bits if that makes any sense

You reminded me, I've noticed another thing where artists tend to draw oversized ponuts (some are like 3-4x the size of the usual ponut keke) when they're supposed to be fairly small
Not going to shit on people drawing that because I don't wanna throw rocks in glass houses and there's weirder shit that I've drawn for these threads before but yeah I personally prefer drawing ponuts somewhat small
But enough about my ramblings, thank you for the pointer at least, the image's a bit low res but I feel like it'll be workable for subsequent images I make
