It's a little late to complain about it now, but I didn't like the way the cinema was stashed away in an alley that wasn't intuitively accessible, with the noodle shop placed in what would've been a great and obvious route to it. Sure there was a gap on the side of it, but it was just narrow and blocked off enough that it didn't make my brain go "that place is accessible".

Also the top levels with the 2049 scene. There was an elevator to go between them, but nothing to get from street level to there.

With an anti-magic system deployed that prohibits flights over Balti. Can't we at least have a runway? I need to land the B-2 somewhere

On-the-hunt for potential alternatives to my Firestorm and Black Dragon-branded cameras (always nice to have spares for scenes where one suite of options is simply better than another), and stumbled across the somewhat new-ish Aperture 1.0.0, graciously listed in the previous Edition. Its name is more than a little on-the-nose for a camera brand, but I suppose it does indeed get the point across.
Much like the revered (and occasionally reviled) Black Dragon before it, Aperture aims to court an audience familiar with flourishing their lens into position at a moment's notice... And so far, I'm actually pretty impressed by what it offers.

Feels like appealing blend of both Firestorm and Black Dragon, with all the features of the former (at least all of the ones I'm familiar with) combined with many functions previously exclusive to Black Dragon (an in-depth Poser tool, wider range of camera settings, considerably expanded Windlight/Environment panels, etc).
Plus it boasts a few unique additions of its own, such as a built-in sharpness slider, and TEN(!!) camera position save slots, as opposed to the one (1) save/load slot seen in Firestorm and ZERO found in Black Dragon. Which always baffled me, seeing as BD is billed as the go-to for photographers around the realm, yet seemingly lacks such a critical feature. Unless it's been so long since I've used Black Dragon in a serious manner that I've simply forgotten such functionality does indeed exist for it, and if so, my apologies.

Snuck over to my neighbor's place to slap together a quick photo using Aperture in about ~10 minutes or so, no fancy post-processing effects or summoned spotlights to be found here.
Not super crazy about how its DoF is handled (although near-proximity DoF is very nice to see), so I'll likely still pair my usual add-on software with this new camera. Still, promising stuff!

Truthfully, I'm very much unaccustomed to managing DoF on-the-fly (it's never once worked for me in either Firestorm or Black Dragon natively for whatever reason), so pardon if this 'take looks kinda blurry. Or maybe it isn't blurry enough where it needs to be, one of the two.
(Again, really not a fan of how bokeh is handled in SL's native DoF options. Reshade's selections should likely shore-up that weakness, if I'm able to get it running in Aperture).

NTA, but as annoyingly vague as this is to say without providing direct examples, the newer JP TTS doesn't sound as awake/energetic as the older one did. Its cadence and speed is roughly the same, but the tone and volume when expressing those phonetics is slightly more measured.
Which is fine for TTS's intended purpose of saying things in a largely neutral tone, but less appealing when wanting it to say silly names in a sillier manner.
You can tell something's changed by throwing some existing names rendered under the old TTS into Google's current rendition of the synthetic voice. It's subtle, but the difference is definitely there, and TTS files made with the new voice will just sound less enthusiastic overall compared to the old one.

I could add to this and suggest you do a commission stream.
The advantages of those streams is they put you in a good work environment. Commissioners can hang out and can instantly give input instead of having to go back and forth later for changes. The whole workflow is more really streamlined. Instead of receiving money and then "someday" start working on commissions, you receive the money in the show, start churning out sketches for your clients and in the end of the day you have the good feeling of having FINISHED lots of work and the clients are happy. Receiving money, doing the artwork and changes is neatly contained in sessions. Apart from that these art sessions are comfy and both parties can just hang out listening to music and clients can watch the drawings happen.

Put your popen behind a canvas and have the canvas display your Picarto stream. Popen clients or just general audience can sit there too and it would be a nice little event while you're making some bucks too.
You could even think about taking Lindens as payment which would help the immersion even more and there are popens here who are LOADED with sneedens because they can't convert them into real money out of security or tax reasons. This way you may even reach a bigger commissioner audience since those people might rather spend ingame bits they don't really have a use for instead of real life dollars.

There are so many and that's the reason why actually still come online.
Don't want to get too into details since it's too private but had really uplifting talks with a pony who took me to a really beautiful place to talk with. The whole mood, the visuals, everything was just perfect.
To me SL often has that sweetspot where it provides just enough nice visuals without numbing your brain so your brain fills in the rest for it to become a really memorable experience.
This doesn't always happen and I guess for many won't since you probably have to be a bit autistic and/or crazy to get this immersed in this but when it happens it can be really magical.
