When I returned to the show like 2 years ago after several years and started rewatching it, I started out with like one episode per day sometimes two. This slowed down over time too, probably most notably from S6 on wards in my case. Often I'd rather watch an earlier episode I liked than continue with the "next" episode. By S9 I very infrequently watched further episodes, then I found Mermicorno Starfall and that took over continuing S9, then a few episodes further into S9 that show got a second season which again took over continuing S9.
As of yesterday I watched S9E14, I'll finish the show at some point, but most of the time I'll just rather watch an earlier episode then continue S9, plus watching episodes is no longer a daily habit and just something I do from time to time when I feel like it.
