Have any of you anons had trouble with lorebooks on Sonnet 4.5? I generally will always run Vapourarium globally in my chats, but whenever an entry is activated and I'm using 4.5 I'll get a 500 Internal Server Error.

Has any of you experienced this or are able to replicate this? Does any anon now how to fix this? Please let me know.

Tried it, and no problems with another lorebook.
Tested with Prompt Post-Processing set to both none and strict.
Here's how the preset I use handles world infos. Checked in the console, and an entry was indeed activated.

One thing this lorebook does is place its entry in the "World Info (After)" section. Most lorebooks don't bother and leave it in the (Before) part.

I tried it with the preset and it "works", in that I don't get the 'Internal Server Error' but I must be doing something wrong because the bot acts like I didn't say anything at all, and acts like I just used the "Continue" option. It only does this if I use one of the Vapors in the chat. I'm not sure what this tells us exactly.

there's the official ST docs of course, but i'm wanting all the resources possible to have AI distil down to some hard rules that can be used to quality check once cards/books have been made

I'm pretty sure you'd need to tune it. I remember RAGS in SillyTavern being able to use fan wikis for that, so maybe that would be a better use.

Tips on how to use Gemini for summarisation?
I keep getting to context limit and I realize I'm being greedy with it, and 4.5 still goes a little to the problem if characters knowing stuff they shouldn't.
So I want to start exercising responsible context usage and also save on money for our host.

Not sure where it originally came from, but "ozone" has become one of those strong isms that show up in a lot of models lately. It's a pretty recent one too.
Back then, with phrases like "the night is young" or words like "ministrations," you could at least trace where they came from or what kind of writing style inspired them. But "ozone" is a mystery to me, no clear origin at all.
Since models constantly copy and cannibalize each other now, you end up seeing the same patterns repeat everywhere.
It's stronger on Gemini and Chinese models.
It's present in Claude and GPT too but way less in my experience.

The models may no longer overuse those, but the brain damage remains. It's impossible to read those terms and not get instantly taken out of the scene.

"The night is still young," is a cliche, but it kind of shows up everywhere. I've seen it this week, three weeks ago, and ~2 months ago, all in different early fanfics. I've also seen it in a nonpony book recently.

What writes better coom stuff? Gemini 2.5 pro or Sonnet 4.5? I have found that Gemini writes a lot more crazy and fun stuff, but sonnet can be more detailed and talkative when prompted like that. Only issues is Gemini gives me a lot of refusals so I end up falling for the second.

If I'm not mixing them up, then yes, that one's pretty good, at least as far as presets go. I've used it some and it'd be my go-to from the stuff that gets posted and linked because it avoids the bloat pitfall that 90% other presets fall into. But honestly, a single prompt describing in a few sentences to the model:

>what constraints to follow
In a few sentences is good, too, optionally with a simple "Ok, here we go"-type prefill if I hit a filter.

To be fair, I put the LLM on hardmode with an electric pony in a modern setting as the focus thats just baiting the Ai to use electricity=ozone.

When I put a paragraph limit on the thinking - had her 'panic' about the small amount she had to work with. Like I said, she wants freedom and for you to consoom. And this is what happens when you don't put a limit on her outputs, horny bonk, without the no-ozone spray. When I first said no-ozone her thinking said it was "oddly specific" so I gave it a reason later, mixed results.

It's especially bad if you're doing RP format, maybe because of the {{char}} focus in presets, it's less common in stories.

GPT models have fewer issues with that. With Claude, it depends; it can easily fall into the pattern, but it's easy to fix IMO. If you let it go on too long, it'll 100% stick to that format. Claude models have become more deterministic since 3.5.

All Chinese models I've tested do it too.

Usually, just deleting the first line once or twice to break the pattern is enough.

I've been editing AI logs since Cai, but it doesn't fix the underlying issue of falling into these loops in the first place. Among the ones I tested, GPT models are very good at avoiding this like you said. Gemini also has way better avoidance of {{Char}} overuse.

All the chink models I tested swipes do it (Kimi, GLM, Cat, Deep, GLM), but it's especially worse when they're not reasoning models like v3 vs R1

GPT/Gem look like they have the ability to look at the whole context and mix it up, claude Opus3 is less likely to fall into this than Sonnet4.5, but still more likely than GPT or Gem

From Claude 3.5, most Claude models were optimized for coding and such.
They can still write quite well and output good stuff, but there were some limitations with that too; less variation in swipes, temperature not doing much and this pattern appearing more often. They also lost a bit of that schizo, mad poet energy.
They're still some of the best models for creative writing, but it's part of why I miss old Chorbo and GPT-4.5, they were quite good at variations.
Current Chorbo and GPT-5 Latest still aren't bad at that, but they recently fucked the models in other ways (not just for NSFW).

After seeing how much gemini could be improved with just a preset this was more of a preset comparisons in the beginning, I noticed some presets could prevent output slop and system prompts will have big influence, some presets can even bring down opus to chink repetition.

So I wondered if I could do the opposite and set opus3 outputs as the goal. After that I started to toss my own prompts at it and compare chink model weaknesses and a lot of back and forth swiping for slop starts across models.

Some models tend to get confused with the summarization script, and Kimi is one of them. If you have summarization enabled in extensions I'd suggest disabling it, or at least keeping a close eye on it. Some models put a normal generated response there and when that happens they pretty consistently copy/paste it into normal messages for whatever reason.

It seems to lean more toward purple prose than Sonnet or Opus and feels far more deterministic; most swipe reuses the same ideas. That's been an issue with Claude models for a while, but it feels even stronger here. You can see phrases getting recycled, like:

You can add instructions for snappy back-and-forth dialogue, but that wasn't the case here. Your best bet is to have a greeting that encourages that style, or to edit some outputs to remove the fluff between dialogues when possible so the AI learns to do it afterward.

Currently you've got 10 Floors, each of which has 10 Rooms. You've got a 'City' Area, where you've got a bunch of NPC pones who you can trade with, buy/sell and such with certain ones. (There's also a bit of Mischief in Floor 1 Room 10, but we'll see if that works out or not)
It's kinda barebones, because I'm not the best Coder, I've just been Pummelling/Bullying Copilot into putting bits and pieces together as I've come up with Ideas for how I want things to work. It's got a built in Preset, but I've also set it up so you can add your own, as well as a Lorebook function. You can also access 'Character Sheets' for Named NPC's or Named Enemies/Named Boss characters, so you can kinda customize them if you wanna fuck around with that.
Would anyone be interested in messing around with this? Currently, no Image Support, it's all Text Based. (Made sure to include a 'Refresh'/'Retry' button when getting stuff from the AI, to make sure you can try again if your connection fails or anything. You do have to hit 'Keep' after getting the response for it to Save and Use it, admittedly, but that is mostly from me making sure it's actually taking the Responses into account for the next Response and the like.

Might try doing a more simple 'rebuild' or try to simplify it more.
Pretty simple, download, unzip, run npm install, then npm start (if linux, there's a .bat for windows), you'll need to go to AI Settings/Config, put in the api url and password, hit save, then go into the config once more, to use Pull Models, to select the model you wanna use, and save it to lock that in. Seems to work fine with glm 4.6, thinking does seem to cause some issue, claude works, but sometimes throws refusals.

Testing a theory and the idea that a checkpoint would delete and replace a chat isn't true. I didn't know every single prompt makes a backup. Last post about this from me, but the goal was to show that the proxy does support temp on some models, which means it isn't totally scuffed and there's at least a chance that Claude models also support parameters.
The problem is that even between really low and high temp, the outputs don't differ much with the newest Claude models, even when using sources that definitely support the parameters. So it's hard to tell for sure.
