A background character had lazy eyes
He dubbed this character "Derpy Hooves"

She's not my absolute favorite pony but I think it's undeniable that the fandom and show wouldn't be the same without her. It's the first moment where the fandom directly affected the show by making a silly easter egg into a distinct character.

and what I love most is she's called Derpy HOOVES. There's no attempt to make it a standard pony name, and it doesn't mention her eyes. it just sounds like a dumb name for a horse and that is funny. Dr. Foreigner, you are funny.
