Hate to ask for tech support, but it's my first time trying to get EquestrAI to work, I'm local hosting through koboldcpp, but when I put the localhost link into the API url section, it simply fails to connect cause it says the api endpoint isn't found. It gave me an idea for a scenario, so I'm not promising anything, but I’ll try to have one out by tomorrow since it fits the event.

It's a bit of a Frankenstein's monster.
I was switching between models and presets to see which one could give me the best ending.
Opus 3 with a light prefill:

gave me this output up until the "She loved it" part. The ending was a bit weak, but I found the beginning really well done, and I loved the toothbrush part. So I copied that section, replaced my prefill with it so other models can continue from there.
Then I switched to 4.5, and it picked up the story nicely, bringing back the plot about her looking into alternative versions of herself from the beginning, which I liked. However, the last few lines didn't stand out much.
So I copied that part into the prefill again, switched back to Opus 3, and it finally produced the "love" part at the very end.
So you could say it's 75% Opus 3, 25% Sonnet 4.5

Sorry if this isn't a straightforward answer, I've been experimenting a lot during chats.

One thing I'm testing right now is a prefill with just {{lastMessage}} inside.
This way, models like Claude 4.5 seem to continue more naturally from your last response, rather than dividing it between user and model; especially if your last input had some thought put into it.

Saves are stored in AppData\Roaming\RenPy, so even if you delete your PPP folder and download a future version, they will still be there.

I don't think I've seen anyone suggest that the model gives preferable results, but it is a lot faster. I use it to give me an outline, then edit the output for clarity on the things I consider important.

I can talk a bit about her creation.
I knew I wanted to make some kind of monster mare for Halloween, I tossed around the idea of werewolves (marewolves?) or other cursed beings, but decided a ghost could have the most unique interactions.

My first idea was something more serious, where the house would actually have two identical ghosts, one good and one evil, and the player wouldn't know which is which as they only appear one at a time. I scrapped it because I realized it would become a Mare Amore Mansion tier mess real fast.
I also tend to think horror is the hardest genre to write well and didn't think I'd have the writing chops for it, so comedy cuteness it is. That's when I hit upon this idea of a mare who's done nothing but grow vegetables all her life now having to try and be spooky.

Fun fact: I was going to name her Hush Puppy cause it sounded like a fitting name for a cute pony ghost, but then urban dictionary told me that's also the name of a sex position so eh... I went with Rosey Ring cause of the cliche of that song being used in horror movies.

Why These Positions?

The guides emphasize the U-shaped attention curve:
- Bottom 3-5k tokens: Highest attention (most important)
- Top 3-5k tokens: Secondary attention
- Middle: "Lost in the middle" - easily forgotten

Lower depth numbers = closer to bottom = more attention. The injection strategy balances keeping important info in high-attention zones
while leaving room for recent chat history.

From my tests, Claude didn't latch onto the eggplant, which is good, but it did have a tendency to use "fiddlesticks" a bit too eagerly. These models always tend to overuse examples when given. Not sure what the best approach would be here; maybe add more varied examples or emphasize that she uses other expressions more frequently.

The greeting is really cute and sets up the situation well. It does force the 'you' POV, which will annoy the 3 anons who roleplay in third person or use other cards/characters, but it can be a pain to create an anypov greeting in this type of scenario. I believe most do roleplay in second person anyway.
I can see lots of scenarios with her: having her as a 'roommate', helping her become scarier, discovering why she haunts the place and trying to set her free, etc.

I wouldn't replace it because it's cute, but I'm not sure how she managed the mask since:

This may be obvious to others, but ALL that gets passed on to the LLM is the content verbatim, without the entry title / primary keywords

And it just rams all entries together with just a newline (\n) separator (the [] brackets are in my entry content)

any position will 'work', it will still be sent to the LLM model and included in the context. But the AI weights things differently depending on where it shows up in all the context it's sent, which is why we can optimize a bit by changing the position depending on how big the summary is to make sure it's seen as important
2k looks to be getting into large territory, so experiment with either before or after main prompt, that should be near the top, and different models will have their own nuance about what works best

Here's my attempt at giving back. It's a system to hide spoilers, characters inner thoughts, feelings, and more, from user. We do this by hiding the text visually instead of preventing the AI from outputting it.

The way I do it is I use World Info Recommender for lorebook entries, manually editing as needed.
In lorebooks I add characters, important items etc. as well as a smaller recap of the basic premise.
For summarization I've never used any of the fancy automatic stuff, when the chat gets big enough, I simply prompt something like

Then I try different models and swipe as needed, grab the best one, edit as needed and slap it to the start of a new chat.

That way the character behaviour and style of speech will easily carry over.

Do you guys do a chaptered summary you tack on to, or just one big blob that gets completely redone every summary? I reached message 700 again, and the big blob summary is getting hard to manage. Also I feel like sonnet is a better summarizer than opus

Easier archiving/rewinding in super long stories, mostly. I name and number my chat files according to the current story arc. That way if I want to get to a previous spot again, I just gotta pick the right file from the list.

That's where the Premise lorebook entry comes in: if there's an older, important plot development, a short version of that goes in the LB while the chat summary focuses more and more detail on more recent events.

Yeah. I think my problem is I'm just yapping with characters, and not really doing much else. You can condense that down, but at a certain point claude gets confused and starts noting down more and more contextless snippets. I think I'll just have to do them manually now.

it's got lots of scuffed features that aren't ready yet, but the basics work to resend the message to the real proxy/provider on a ratelimit, cloudflare fuck up etc. there's also options to log every llm call in a file locally (helps with me developing extensions, seeing what lorebooks/prompts are actually active etc. the sillytavern terminal window is aids for that)

how it works:
you set the sillytavern endpoint to the first-hop proxy running on your own pc, something like

then you have a config-opus6-claude.yaml file with the settings you want to use and where the request should go after local logging/formatting etc
