Got around to include a new intro. Do you like batponies? then use the new intro. Do you not like batponies? then dont use the new intro because this is a job from Luna and you can end up anywhere.
Unlike the military isms slant the first intro had, this is fantasy. Also tweaked the Ponyville intro

What's the usual token cost for a decently-long VN session? I'm running Claude via the official API, so I'm paying per token. Would it be a better idea to switch to Openrouter or something?

It's the same price between API and OpenRouter for Claude, so it wouldn't change things too much.
By having fun with the VN, context can go up quite easily, so yes, it can become quite pricey.
Switching to OpenRouter would allow you to use cheaper models (DeepSeek, the current free GPT-5.1, etc.). You can also see about making a free Gemini key >>42786065 and see if it's still good for you. I quite like Gemini for the VN myself. You can switch between models too and come back to Claude if it's a more complex scene or if it's something the other AI doesn't get well.

No phones here. API's just convenient, and cheap enough for my use level when I cache and do all the context-saving tricks. I considered swapping to a proxy during the Sonnet 4.0 dark era, but 4.5 has gotten me complacent again.

Also, also, you put a calendar in with the idea of "skipping ahead", and my brain immediately thinks, "Well, well, well. Effectively a form of forwards time travel, eh? Well wouldn't it be interesting to take a little step *backwards* in time at some point..."
Granted that'd require an entire mod of its own to set up different eras. Apple Bloom can't travel back 30 years and still be bumping into Rainbow Dash, or be able to still visit Carousel Boutique.

Yeaahhh this is one of those things where I'm going to personally choose to completely ignore what "technically" looks like what happened in canon.
The idea of Twilight going from Moondancer 0.5 to the Princess of Friendship in one year is ridiculous. As is the idea that all these villains and world-ending events happened in the span of a couple years.

I don't think that's ever actually stated. Celestia just says that the Summer Sun Celebration "has become" a happy reminder of Luna's return, not that it's the first one they're celebrating together. She's contrasting the past 1000 painful celebrations with all the celebrations since Luna returned, in my opinion.

Still hoping for a full set of mom6 bots. 3/6 and personally the most interested in Posey as Fluttershy was my favorite watching the show. Followed by Pear Butter, there was someone talking about working on one but it seems it never finished. I'm personally stumped on Cookie Crumbles as she's the mom with the least amount of screen time second only to Posey who was introduced much later and Cookie was one of the first to be introduced.

Hey, that's my bot.
I talked about it in a previous thread, but I wanted to participate in the event, didn't have many ideas, then remembered an old fic where AJ is turned into Nightmare Jack:

Reread it and it's still quite enjoyable; I'd recommend it. Short too.

I prefer writing greetings over descriptions, which is why this one is quite brief, but I believe it does the job.

The card is simple, with the main gimmick being the style used for the nightmare's voice, which uses Regex to display properly.

The greeting has two parts: the Nightmare's defeat and how a small part survives, then the possession of Applejack. I structured it this way because I toyed with making this more of a general nightmare possession card, with the same start but different 'victims': some fun ones like Derpy, Angel Bunny, or a Luna plushie with suspicious holes.
I was afraid I wouldn't have enough time, so I went with the single character, but maybe I'll update it or make a fork later.

The greeting is in the past tense because I often RP that way, and it wasn't poorly received for the Hag Twilight card I made.

Sorry to post this scene a lot, but I like using it to test models and more.
I tried it back on good old Opus 3 and I'm always surprised by how different this model can write compared to what we have right now. Some good stuff inside.
I remember that Claude 2.1 was a bit like that too, but unfortunately it died, so no tests.
