The original always sounded really rough around the edges due to the compression and I think even though it sacrificed clarity and detail, it fits the music more and aids the edgy aesthetic far more than the squeaky clean remaster. It just sounds downright unusual to hear songs which used to be very punchy and impactful become so crystal clear it's practically soulless.
