Do band have a "playing fatigue" when they rehearsal and play their songs live? How do bands do it if they have for example a great song which they released 30 years ago? How do they keep it "fresh" and don't grow tired of it?

Fair enough, but what let's say 10 years and the fans expect them to play it?

if you're still performing 30 years later you either
>are making good money doing it and that makes up for it
or
>you're not making good money but you're 100% reliant on what you do make so that makes up for it too

Yeah, and they usually just accept that it's a chore they have to perform for their live crowds. Most concerts are latest album, previous album, greatest hits. The formula makes money.

How do you turn up to work every day.

You'd be much more motivated to put on a good show with a song you wrote and liked even if it's become worn than you would be doing desk work.

The answer is obviously yes. A song tends to wear out its welcome in the process of recording it, because it requires an annoying amount of precision to get it right. Depending on the genre, you may be really limited to playing the song in a certain way over and over again, and this will have predictable effects. The audience can help with that though, assuming you've written a song people love. Standing on stage and having a lot of people sing your song is a pretty powerful drug even if you're really fucking bored. Ideally you're playing a kind of music where you can improvise some, change the key, etc., so you're less likely to get over it quickly.

That's why they always save that song for the encore, then rush through it playing sloppy as fuck as people scream and film

yes they grow to resent their hits, especially if it comes from a time and style that they feel they've moved on from

Do employees have a "working fatigue" when they work and do their jobs? How do employees do it if they have for example a great job which they started 30 years ago? How do they keep it "fresh" and don't grow tired of it?

How the fuck did bands play such long tours without going insane? Slipknot for example had a 20 month tour for Vol 3. I get that the money is nice but I just couldn't stomach playing the same god damn setlist day in and day out.

The Replacements would at least blow off some steam and go play a dive show under a different name and just jammed out drunken covers for for an hour, at least that sounds fun.
