Long grass flowed in the field

The cranes flew overhead
The whistling of their feathers
He walked into the forest
And by the time he reached the well
It was very dark
And very cold
He dropped a large stone
The ice broke apart
With a low thud a couple seconds after
He pulled the metal chain upward
It ringed and clinked over the stone edge
A Gibson case emerged out of the depths
He gingerly opened it and cradled
A cherry red Epiphone SG
He plugged it into his vox AC-30 headphone amp
And he somberly played his last

>>127259883If you like the thickness of the Jazz3 I really suggest you try a regular-sized 2mm pick because nothing beats it in terms of thickness: it's perfect, not too thin and not too thick. I find the Jazz3 is too thin, and also too small, but yeah mostly too small.
In the end, now that I think about it, the Jazz3 is perfect if you do mostly precision work, and a regular 2mm pick is perfect to really push beyond what is physically acceptable on a guitar. You can levy a lot of strength on the strings for strumming or tremolo picking with a 2mm pick, without any effort. Compared to the Jazz3 that's still not thicck enough, not big enough.

>>127260726>>127260729Well Peavey Revalver has same type of "Input" controller, free I think, that you can use before the signal gets into NAM
Basically you could achieve the same with free plugins: EQ before entering NAM, EQ after entering NAM, Multisampling, maybe some sort of Harmonic Enhancer
The MGuitarArchitect has a good idea for it, but you can achieve it free plugins. I'm just saying it makes NAM sound much better than the standalone plugin. Plenty of multisampling tutorials on YouTube for NAM too

At least when you buy a production run custom from jackson or gibson they're made in the custom shop. Whether or not being made in the custom shop adds any actual value or better quality is debatable, but at least it's a tangible thing you're paying for compared to Badlands slapping custom in the name just cause the guitars have cringe paint schemes. If comparing apples to apples, it's more expensive than most other regular production USA-made guitars and likely plays as well as any other $1500+ guitar. >>127262094it sounds bad. it feels bad. pros do not use modelling. its not even good for recording becausing an sm57 on literally, *literally any* amplifier and speaker, sounds better. IR loadboxes can sound better on track in a few cases because messing with speakers and cabinets is very time consuming. if you dont believe me play your simulation and then plug right into a hot boogie. it is NOT the same
I like orange amps, especially the clean channel. yeah said it, try me.
>>127262173>>127262187I always thought Yngwie got fat based on his face but he seems pretty fit for his age.

>often not multiscale>often "short" scale so you cant downtune to more than A without floppy fucking flopp>this means low b or A needs to be touched ever so fucking lightly or else tuner will go apeshit>want to sell it? good fucking luck not taking a 30% hit because of how small the 7 string used marked isyou want shit you can actually downtune? pay up
im just getting the downtune pedal instead fuck it
>>127262326That looks like Tommy Wiseau lol
>>127262327and by "short" scale i mean 25.5 is too short a scale for 7 string, all you can reliable get out of that is AEADGBE

i think the reason a lot of people are amazed is because they didnt seriously try to record guitar with a mic, and the modeller takes a lot of work out of recording and most likely sounds more like a finished guitar track to the amateur who will do literally anything except mic their amp. modellers aound better than nothing and they sound better than a bad attempt at recording guitar. why in the fuck would you pay to use a 100 dollar app at a studio that is 450 an hour and has sixteen guitar cabinets, seventy mics, twenty sick amps, and humans that will set it up for you.
everyone has tried modellers. not many have an sm57 on a marshall. theyre kind of amazing in that it sounds pretty good, for a laptop, but in no world is it anything but a convenient substitute in a pinch for the real thing. besides, your recognizeable sound is much more important. i dont fear the man with 10000 different software amps and fx, i fear the man who has been playing the same 2 channel amp for 12 years. but if u are on a budget, it is what it is
>>127262411If it's actually focused practice and not sitting down and noodling, or playing what you already know without a metronome in comfortable tempo or repeatedly up to the point where you mess up.
