Gore was actually different and plebs shat on it. It's not among their best, and the mixing sucked mostly, but they went outside their box on it and some of it was successful.

Infinite Source is among their best songs. First time I've had a new Deftones song stuck in my head in years. Cool to see that it has like triple the numbers of rest of the newly released songs since it's so damn good. Agree the singles were lackluster, though.

Gore was fire. Songwriting was great, and the prod was moody and and hazy... very dreamlike album.
Only reason its hated on is cuz music nerds don't like that its prod isn't clean and everyone just takes their word for it
