isnt low fidelity, its well recorded. even on the few tracks where there might appear to be a high noise floor, I dont think it is, it seems more like background/environmental sound that was included intentionally. it doesnt sound like tape hiss or any other artifact from low fidelity recording equipment, and thats borne out by the unreduced quality of the stuff thats definitely there on purpose, ie the guitars and vocal.

Lofi just means low fidelity. As opposed to high fidelity. It's entirely about recording and nothing to do with genre. These albums are lofi recordings:
