if you get different brands of the same tube or equivalent tubes with different model numbers, there's different tolerances and whatnot that makes a difference.
i wonder if some players like tubes that aren't biased in pairs the same way people use out of phase pickup switching?

I wanted my guitar to be simpler and just turn on and ROCK so I took the neck pickup out and wired the bridge straight to the output jack. It still sounded like shit so I took the bridge pickup out, too. What should I remove next, my tone still isn't pure enough, I don't want to be like one of those fags with a million switches and 100 pedals

What can I remove from my amp to make it sound better as well? It's an orange rockerverb combo. Can I unhook one of the speakers and take a few tubes out?

Fender bought Groove years ago, but they don't manufacture them. But they can always insure getting tubes that way. I think EHX bought a tube company in Russia too, but now they've been screwed because of tariffs. I think it's more random from other makers.

it's just a vacuum triode, it's a transistor that's 100x more expensive and more likely to fail. tubefags forget that their heckin' vintage amp has a little thing called a tone stack and maybe that's where the tone comes from
maybe that's why leo fender - era - solid state musicman amps sound infinitely better than any tube marshall piece of shit, but gearfags think rusty broken down shit and technology from 80 years ago makes you sound better as long as it's more expensive. hey, i have a really old bridge in brooklyn to sell you clowns

The first item is a 5-way blade.
And I prefer vintage, as I actively dislike locking tuners. I just worry if it's the same footprint as the ones already on there.

You know, cuz I gotta change the nut, so might as well get tuners.

I want the saddles but I don't think a whole bridge assembly is necessary. Want heavy flatwounds because I miss the feel.

I'm without any instrument at the moment, and this is all just an accumulation of everything I want in one package.

Saw this massive lad leaving a Burger King as I pulled into a GC parking lot (they are in the same shopping center, basically next to each other). He was wearing a Grateful Dead t-shirt, and a hat that said "don't duck the smoke, cowboy. I want everything you got". I was thinking no way it's him. He walked into the gc and I went in as well. I was about 50 feet away when he reached the entrance. He held the door. Nobody was there. I realized he was holding it for me. It was extremely awkward because I kind of half walked jogged. He smirked and let out a half laugh half sigh as I passed. He said "your welcome?". I was taken aback and kept stammering, as he kept lunging at me and holding his fist up. He told me "you ain't him"?? I proceeded to the acoustic room and tried out the ovations. Was chill after the strange encounter. I saw him through the glass door. He was plugging a telecaster into a Blues jr. He played a simple melodic performance of the amazing grace melody at full volume. It's like he was forcing the staff to ask him to leave. Which is what happened. It felt very punk rock.

Gibson only gives a shit about selling $2k guitars to boomers for $6k and up. They'll float out custom models (like the RD) under the guise that if they sell well, they'll release a standard at half the price sometime in the future, as if the people pinching pennies to buy a standard are going to shell out 3x as much money for the custom because it's their only option. Even their on-roster artists have to pay for guitars, though I've heard of them giving away freebies to touring bands just to get the image out there but the artists I'm referencing aren't affiliated outside of being gifted sixers. My explorer is the best playing guitar I've ever owned but it took months of trying multiple different models across multiple different years to find one that played well and wasn't a QC nightmare. They're a marketing company that makes guitars and they are VERY good at the first part.
