It is a self eating snake, an endless loop.
Take two people who had that meaninglessness and that existentialism, they fuck, they pop out a kid, okay fine, now they're "cured" of their depression, their whatever, their addictions, their existentialism and their feelings or thoughts of everything being meaningless. Now their kid has it. That kid grows up and fucks another person who is like that and it repeats. Having a family can be beneficial to people who want that. Having a family is not a catch all solution. Family isn't always a good thing either. Humans are indeed social animals, having a family can be a good thing but it can also be a terribly corrosive thing. Having a family isn't necessary, it is optional at the end of the day. You can choose to opt out.
We're talking about this because tim pool is coming at it from the "these liberal democrat feminists hate marriage, the nuclear family, america, blah blah blah" and while there might be some connection to feminism, hookup culture, and being childless and unhappy, i'm focusing more on Hayley's existentialism. You can still be existential if you have a family and believe in god. You can still ask yourself "what the actual fuck is my purpose? the purpose I am given or believe is being questioned and I am losing faith" Something to that effect. Call it depression, she also mentions in the song about being alone. This is a modern problem. You can be in a city surrounded by people and still feel or be alone. You can fuck someone, have kids with them, have a family, be with them, and still be unfulfilled or feel alone. It isn't as simple as have kids and everything will just be fine. That is just my personal opinion
