Thoughts on soft luggage? Looking to get some for my FZ6 and really donโ€™t want to get a full rack installed since Iโ€™ll only be using the soft luggage once or twice a month
Looking for advice on good setups, brands to avoid or gravitate towards and how much I should be paying
Right now Iโ€™m looking at secondhand offerings from Keisha because an anon here recommended me them for a backpack and itโ€™s been my favorite backpack since

>I've never seen an ER-5 in person, but the old style CB500 like the one in that collage is AWESOME.

I actually prefer the cbf500, the one without the little "wings" that is closer to the cb400sf and that has single shock in the rear. it's actually the bike of that collage i posted, basically the upgrade of the cb500

>I'd get that gen CB500 if you don't have retro aircooling-coom like I do.

well my current 'ku is basically a dr350 supermoto but built recently and with different plastics so going to liquid would be a change for me, but i apreciate not having to bother with the radiator and such

I really like these simpler older naked, the monster is another contender like the sv is but those older 500 i can get for literally dirt cheap. parents would prefer i keep the sumo for more experience and jump to something recent with abs later but 25hp is a bit of a struggle if i have to go on the highway and the seat is not comfortable at all. super light and nimble tho.

a silver 2004 cbf500 was actually what i was looking at as first bike but i decided to listen to my old man and get the beta

There's 1 park in Houston that looks like that. Its full of actual faggots playing Frisbee golf.
>In 2023, Hispanics comprised 44.1% of the population, while White non-Hispanic residents accounted for 23.6%, and Black/African Americans made up 22.5%.
Houston is Brazil favella tier with massive infrastructure failure and crime rates that rival Zimbabwe.

I would still use tape, use some 3m vhb tape to stick a little piece of reinforcing material, perhaps a bit of bracket from the hardware store, both inside and outside, then seal with waterproof tape
Donโ€™t cheap out, 3m has been poisoning millions of acres for decades to come up with the best chemicals, theyโ€™re brilliant at what they do.

Ya you can weld it with a soldering iron.
I'd do that then go back over it with JB weld or fiberglass. If you dont want to deal with fiberglass you can reinforce it with window screen in the JB weld. Put down a thin layer of JB, smash in some screen then coat with more JB.

bro you are actually mentally retarded
a phone is a better satnav than anything on the market today

just go into some paki phone shop and ask for an iphone 13, get a data only sim with like 10-15gb data and buy a quadlock poncho, and you a more up-to-date, traffic-reactive, multi-functional garmin, that fits in your pocket

you dont have to use your main personal phone, i have a different phone for each bike, and its cheaper, easier, lighter and better to easier to use

a cheeky way to make them even better is to steal data sims from chinese "trail cams" and "bird watching boxes" that you can find pointed directly at basically any police station across america or europe

nta, but it is genuine advice.
t. have a garmin Navigator VI whatever that has remained in the case since it was handed to me by the previous owner, and it's remained in the case since it was handed to the previous owner by the bmw dealership. It's even had warranty (basically a new replacement) work without any use.
Phone just werks, along with handling music, being able to cpoy paste an address from an email/google search/text, and a usb chord keeps it all charged. But if you feel like pointlessly blowing $600 on something other than tires+oil change+chain&sprockets, go garmin. While I cannot attest to their functionality or usefulness(I always just used my phone), I can attest to their warranty policy.

how big is your bike, strong are you and how much room for manoeuvring?
you can potentially just push it into the wall and slowly lean/rock forward to try and get the stand up naturally
if that doesnt work you might have to drag the bike back a foot

I don't understand your train of thought. You're Italian so you have the A2/A license which means you are skilled enough to ride any motorcycle. More powerful bikes just go faster, that's it. If you don't want to go any faster stop twisting your wrist. I don't understand this whole 'power-stage progression' of motorcycle ownership. Just get the bike you want. Fun fact I got the A2 license, but I can't stand this type of cuckery so did not ride any bike for two years until I could get the full A license and bought an MT10. I'm alive, never crashed. Never touched a bike before getting my license. If you can do small speed maneuvers and counter steer then I'm pretty sure you could ride a fucking motoGP racebike with no issues.

Testosterone injections just made me crave sugar, gained a lot of muscle without trying tho but I performed better natural. Couldnโ€™t last 30 mins where Iโ€™d usually go upwards of 2 hours. That and I was hella emotional on T..
masteron gave me high blood pressure, and made me anxious.
Tren made me think everyone was talking about me and I heard voices.
Dbol/oxan felt like I was in heaven, felt confident and talkative. Stopped using it because while I felt like I was on top of the world my nose bled profusely and my blood pressure was so high that I didnโ€™t wanna continue to take it.
Enclomiphene was nice, but same problem with test injections just less pronounced.
Summary: yes and no.

Can somebody redpill me on FXDWG? Whenever I look around for used dyna's, it's like 70% wide glides. Were these super popular when they were in production? For the most part it seems like they'll usually have fwd controls and a single front brake rotor (plus the longer rake) which seems like they'd handle bad even for a Harley. Are they good for eating up more miles? Should I keep my search down to super glides, low riders and street bobs?

I've been looking at the wide glides recently. I've noticed they're usually cheaper than the other dyna derivatives. I believe they don't handle as well because of the rake, and the brakes like you mentioned. I'm sure you could swap a dual disc setup on there pretty easily, and there's got to be a fork brace out there for it. I like the way they look, but it's hard to choose that over the other dynas if they don't handle as well.

Could be simply HD production numbers.

When an HD dealership orders bikes they say "send me 30 bikes".
When the trucks arrive the salesmen are on the loading docks opening crates and exclaiming "I've got a screaming eagle sportster over here!" and "this one is a metallic plum ultra glide!".
They dont get to order colors or even models. They order X amount of bikes and HD sends them what ever the fuck they feel like.

Yeah I've definitely seen some nice looking ones, and if it turns out they used to be super popular that might end up being a plus for finding parts. Then again I'd be shocked if they don't share a bunch of parts with the rest of the dyna family. Maybe they just don't sell as well because they're not as appropriate for "performance" or "stunt" builds which seems to be what the dyna bros are all about currently.

Bruh, cruisers are the worst for touring, they have horrible rear suspension, unless the road you are riding on is as smooth as glass, cruisers will break your spine and give you back problems. Unless you have iron butt and iron spine, you are fucked. Or, you have to be super short for no other bikes to fit you. If you want a true mile muncher, it's the ADV dad route. Africa Twin, GS or the mighty V-Stronk. Sport tourers are fine too, if its popular enough you might even find panniers that fit. Hurley has an ADV, Pan America if you are into that.

Its that way for all HD dealers atleast.
Some dealers will trade bikes between them but the vast majority want to keep the "good" bikes of course so it becomes "oh your customer is looking for a cherry red road king? Ya well remember when I needed an ultra glide and you had 3 and wouldnt swap for one? Fuck off".

We would rent brand new bikes until they hit 2k miles then rotate them to the floor and price them as new.
Shady shit.

Deep down I know you are right but I just cannot get into ADVs for the life of me. Even the Tracer 9's and Multistrada type bikes go too far into ADV for my taste. But it's not lost on my why they sell so many of them. I'm 5'10" so something like a Ninja 1000SX or other Japanese sport tourer is made right to my spec, if I specifically wanted a touring bike that's really what I ought to be looking at- you aint wrong.

If I were dead set on a Dyna (and had money to burn) I would buy a regular Low Rider from the dual disk years. 14" shocks on the rear, +1 or +2" fork tubes up front, True Trac kit, usual brake upgrades like stainless lines etc, pipe + tune, then do whatever you need to do with the seat, controls, and bars situation. The problem with that is by the time I'm done I could have bought a VStrom 1000 AND a 450 supermoto play bike.

Check reviews, leathers you can slide and reuse, probably not for textile. Its slide once and replace. More than that, check the comfort, buy a AA or A if that is more comfortable and you'd wear it every time, AAA jean will probably feel like concrete and breathe like shit. Try it on and get sometime comfortable.

I installed harvester flood lights behind the grille of my crossover as a fuck you to anyone blasting me with their high beams or led bars.
The flood lights are strong enough to turn night into day and the population of detroit into well adjusted working class people.
My old man, back when he was still a fighter jockey, installed some spare landing lights from his jet onto his car, told me that you could only keep them on for a few moments before the car died due to them draining the battery so fast the alternator couldn't keep up. Would also melt the plastic off his bumper.

So basically non-shithole countries choose Yamaha. People who can buy any bike, or even a car prefer Yamaha. Poorfags who can only ride scooters prefer the other brands.

I JUST WANT MY BIKE AAAAAAA
But thank you once again based service man for being cool and fuck salesmen
I hope you all have a great ride even though I can't still

Interesting thing to note here, Hero used to partner with Honda which ended in 2010, TVS with Suzuki, which ended in 2001. TVS is in partnership with BMW now, they have also bought Norton, I suspect they will be releasing Nortons by end of this, it has to be the same 450, just retro style if I had to take a guess. Bajaj is the whore of Indian companies, they have had partnerships with Kawaii-suck, Triump, KTM and I don't know who else. I think they started to matter after the KTM partnership. Yamaha used to partner with some company, and it doesn't exist anymore, that must have ended in the 80s or 90s. There were lots of other Motorcycle companies in India, but they have died out since, Jawa and BSA are being revived by Mahindra, one of the largest tractor manufacturers. I'm hopeful for BSA, the number of Bikes made and sold in India is just astonishing.

i've never ridden a bike before, just applied for a licence and i'm thinking of buying a really old/cheap dirtbike and putting in a new engine for cheap
i like hiking in the mountains, i want the dirtbike for the same reason, to ride through mountains and forests, but the places that i would start a hike from is usually more than 80 kilometers (50 miles) away from my house. i'd have to ride the dirtbike on asphalt to even get to the places i want to
how bad of an idea is this? i dont want to buy a van/truck to get myself and the bike there
also im 5'9 is that too short for a full sized dirtbike?

Arguably the fastest man on a dirtbike in 2006 or so was 5'6 (Ricky Carmichael), you'll be fine. Don't worry about putting a new-used engine in a bike, a low stress dual-sport like a DRZ400 would need, at MOST, a valve check + new piston and rings if it really had poor compression and had been ran hard for tens of thousands of miles.

I mean it's really simple: i have the full A license I just want a motorcycle "big enough" while as light and simple as possible so that i can do my own wrenching.

yeah i can get a literbike technically but it's gonna be heavier and more expensive and i don't really care that much about specs or to go fast but i'm also very new and maybe if i go to the stealership and get that brand new 650 that i think looks cool i may grow tired of it or find out that maybe i really wanted a GS or a grom and now i spent 10k on a brand new bike that i may not like.
Middlesize seems like what i like now, and getting an older cheaper one that is not shit seems like the right way to test it: it's actually ass and i want to change it? well i may be able to sell it for what i paid for easily or worst case i lost a couple hundred bucks by selling it cheaper.

got my license on an sv650 without having ever touched a bike or a moped before btw, just needed a couple of lessons to try the slow speed course and get acquainted with it so yeah just don't be a retard and it's good, i know that

if youre planning to ride 50miles, to hike up a mountain, then ride home, youre gonna want something more comfortable than a dirt bike
probably a more modern dualsport
dont bother with an engine swap, its not worth the time, money or effort unless you have sentimental attachment to your bike (and dont believe in theseus ship)

height isnt an issue with bikes, as long as you can put 1 foot down when its stopped/leaning

Ughhhh....
Since the fuel tank on the CBX is in such amazing condition I've decided to let it go to someone doing a restoration (we all know that tanks are one of the hardest pieces to find). I dont need it to match body lines on this build so its the least I can do for the community.

But trying to find a replacement tank sucks.
Most ATVs have perimeter frames and drop-in tanks so finding one that sits on the spine and has body lines im looking for is frustrating. Most are just generic peanut tanks.
Pic is the coolest I've found so far.

"Dual sport" is an incredibly broad term. Most dual-sports are based on dirt bikes just with detuned motors, passenger pegs, and lights. It won't be as easy due to the extra weight, but a decent rider can take a DRZ400 anywhere they could take a rela Enduro bike.

What is a replacement lever? 20 bux? Also, its meant to break off, you can ride home with it. I'd say take the bike you have instead of not going at all, but you are right a dirt bike is designed for it and a sport bike is not. It would fucking hurt to replace the fairings on my sport bike.

i'm into more classic naked style 'kus at the moment: going backwards is easy as they all are more ujm styled but the newer you go the harder it is.
the xsr isn't bad i even went to check one out at the stealership but it's still a bit too aggressive on the lines? don't know if it makes sense but you can try win me over with other style of 'kus.

Man I gotta get a rear rack for my KLX so I can put a crate on it like that pic, I'd get so much more use out of it with a bit of cargo space. I should give RMATV a call and ask about their rack, it says it only fits up to 2023 but I'm pretty sure Big Rock put one on his '24, which is identical to my '25.

your going to be compromising a lot between road comfort and performance and offroad performance. Also since you will suck as a new rider you will want a light bike to pick up off the ground and protected hand controls so you dont break a clutch lever in the middle of the woods. a dr200 with pipes, jets and sprockets would do you good up to 70mph and has huge gas tank upgrades, but you will want a seat cushion for any kind of actual dirt riding bike

I knew a guy with a lifted bronco and some little ankle biter dog.
He made a platform on the passenger mirror so the dog could stand on the arm rest and put his front paws on the mirror.
Had a harness with an eyelet in tje roof. Sometimes he'd take a turn when the dog wasn't expecting it and the dog would fall.out the window. He'd just grab the strap and pull the dog back into the truck and he'd just jump back up on the door.

I have one of these on my WR250R and recommend it. It's been repeatedly used as a grab handle. You can go ghetto and bolt a milk crate to it, but it's also sleek and minimal if you want to do more hardcore off-road and you ditch the milk crate.

Yamaha is outdated and overpriced, frame will crack. Suzuki is your only option for a liter if you want an inline 4. Triumph is boring. Mv Augusta is impossible to find.

now they've past the peak and are still hard to find (and only gonna get harder) but aren't really that expensive. $2-3k for a 60-horse bike seems like a fair enough deal and that's what I see them going for

Really depends on where he lives. Long distance on the highway sucks even on my 300 because it's really not happy over 70 and that's not enough to keep up with most traffic in my region, the main highway to the mountains (which is also the only road going that direction) is mostly one lane each way and people do 80+ through it. He's also talking about riding long distance to ride through mountains so carb probably isn't ideal.
