>>28470284>I also tried fancier BMWs and they felt significantly worse for me.I had to drive a rental mild-hybrid Audi last year and was mildly shocked when the interior was mostly hard plastic, and it rattled like crazy despite having around 8000 km on the clock. I guess all those fancy hard plastic edges and trim pieces leave it with tons of spots where the plastics can rattle and creak against each other. I think there also was something loose inside the driver's side door. That rattle sometimes stopped if I slapped the door hard near the speaker.
The DCT gearbox was also kind of hesitant in traffic, and really seemed to like lugging the engine unless I kicked the pedal so hard the burst of speed was almost dangerous. Maybe that's how they tune it to meet emissions targets while still being "sporty", or something.
The current hybrid Corolla isn't exactly a classy car, but with competition like this, it doesn't seem that bad either.
