If my ONLY concern was owner repairability, it would be an old car, like a Lada Niva Legend or that Azeri Peugeot 405 clone. If I wanted something repairable with a bit of fun, I would probably do the new Niva Sport.

But not in your country and not in the trade/customs agreement area your country is a part of, so that's hardly relevant. Logistics is a bitch.
>>28474329
Idk man I moved from Ladas to foreign-made cars long ago and found out they are even easier to fix, especially if you avoid more complicated designs. Parts are of better quality (buying OEM-grade basically guarantees you trouble-free experience), the catalogs and diagnostic/repair manuals are more precise.

Uhh, I don't pay any import duties or customs for parts from germany or belgium.
I just replaced most of my front suspension bits and wheel bearings, almost all the parts were "made in germany" so maybe your claim of bad parts quality has some truth to it.

Ivanski Turunen is right all the newer western cars are hopeless because of self-inflicted retardation. Russia is too poor to afford such retardation in the first place.
reminds me of Royal Enfield, (british brand, went bust but their jeet branch kept making the same old designs until old became "retro"). Used to have absolutely dogshit quality and reliability. Recently they went way up in quality but kept the simple design. Great repairability, even for a motorcycle.
I don't know if Ivan's cars are built well or badly but I bet they are designed 1000 times more reliably than a modern beemer or whatever

I dunno, the cities do have some brown people (though far fewer than Sweden) and socialists who've either inherited their boomer parents' ideas or are boomers themselves, still reminiscing about that one time they went to St. Petersburg 40 years ago on a commie international friendship trip.
Both groups seem to have their share of blyatoid apologists.

Nissan Versa
Super basic 4 cylinder econobox still available in a manual transmission.

Jeep Wrangler
Body on frame solid axel 4x4. The 3.6 pentastar is pretty reliable. It's the same v6 dodge used in the base challenger/charger. It's easy to wrench on and they've been around for 12 years in millions of different cars so parts availability likely won't dry up anytime soon. Also still available in manual if that matters to you.

Ford Mustang
They have huge screens and more tech now so that might be a turn off but the 5.0 coyote engine has proven to be very solid, very mod friendly and there is enough of an aftermarket that DIY self service stuff likely won't be a huge issue. Again, one of the few cars left that you can still get with a stick.

Those are my three picks for brand new cars that should be fairly good in terms of self service and repair. That's one econobox, one SUV/offroader and one sports car. You can take your pick of what appeals to you the most.

Suzuki parts are a nightmare in North America. Back when I had my Suzuki I would have been fucked without Rockauto and even then the parts on there were starting to become unavailable. No parts store will have Suzuki parts and most shops won't work on them because they can't source parts for them. They're underrated cars but you have to know what you're getting into when you buy a car from a defunct manufacturer.

Probably. I haven't heard of crankshafts becoming cheese except for KTMs. They knew they had a shit reputation and really pushed their QC.
I've had picrel (2019) for 8 months. No major problems so far, but I bent the rear brake lever by pushing it too hard (previous owner was a retard who rode 100 miles a year and adjusted the lever so high up it could barely apply the brake). Also, the gearbox can find neutral between any gear, but otherwise seems solid. The speedo goes whackass if I ride in heavy rain.
Good point: easy as fuck to DIY service. Did my first valve job drunk and in about an hour.

With a lada you make the parts yourself. Outside. With wood. And the car runs better than original.

Saw people in Russia doing the same with S-10 Blazers. It's just a Slav thing, I presume.

Honestly if the weather isn't too hot Or cold, I don't see why anyone wouldn't buy a motorcycle. Fear of dying? Get a standard road bike

It's not about bravery, it's about stupidity. Other people on the road are simpleminded retards who are either texting, gatcha gaming, watching jewtube, doordashing, or any sort of activity you can do on a smartphone on a phone mount.
