See my thinking here is that surely so long as the pump is always pressurised, there is always oil sprayed on every part and nothing goes without and therefore no extra wear occurs. The extra oil is just sitting in the sump before it gets sucked up by the pump again.
I can't believe that there is a gradual increase in wear as oil level drops, it would be immediate following a loss in oil pressure which would remain constant for all volumes of oil above the height of the oil pan.

I have. Thicker denims actually performed closer to 1000d codura but with better impact resistance. Impact is the biggest issue with 600d codura while that might seem counter to the materials claimed advantages, concentrated heat+force is a weakness it can handle them seperate but not together. Thats why better jackets and pants have 1000d codura on padded areas. This isn't an issue with denim and leathers as heat concentration needs to be at one place for much longer. Experiment you can do at home is taking a worn out jacket and pants to a rock or knife you have ran a heatgun on for a few minutes.

Personally I'm wearing (normal cotton) jeans right now because I can't really find good kevlar stuff. I now have a $300 pair of AA pando motos sitting in my closet gathering dust because even those are too heavy to realistically wear.

Im pretty guilty of riding with minimal gear on pretty consistently over the past decade or so.
But road rash is terrible.
Almost thinking of some chaps and a simple leather jacket like a Harley guy.
Riding casual wear also, I'd need several pairs of Kevlar jeans to daily wear...
Some chaps and a jacket to throw over everything might be alright.

21oz denim is cheaper than kevlar and aramid I DIYed /k/ stuff with. Still used it a bit. Pants with double material layers are 120 bucks starting now and even non paded 21oz denim is around the same. Just I can't suggest pure denim vs double layer, It is both out of comfort and effectiveness since aramid and kevlar are better than both denim and codura that have been standard.

Codura and denim with aranid/kevlar are normal and a fraction of the price of goatskin while still surviving a significant distance. Yes. I went to custom and set everything as sharp as possible and was unsatisfied. Rain mode was the worst of all. When you give it a little bit of revs for taking off it makes the engine hunt up and down by about 2,000rpm. Genuinely unacceptable. While riding it's like the first 90% of the throttle makes no difference. It behaves like a throttle cable with a mile of free play.
In sports mode it felt just nominally numb. Snap the throttle wide open and it's like the butterflies in the intake tract take a 3-4 seconds to actuate fully open. Rev matching on downshifts was difficult because it'd never rev up fast enough to react in time

Not even the argument I am making. The r3 is just outperformed as a deal for that market because the r3 requires a different license class, doesn't make power to compete in the 300-400cc market and has non of the features of the competition in that license class. It's just a bad deal there. In the US they are cheap at least and the competition just skips to 400cc or 500cc for sport bikes. I don't even hate the r3 it just isn't what I'm asking for as someone whole likes sub 500cc bikes, the r3 needs a refresh when compared to kawi as well.

Metric in terms of strictly fasteners are extremely nice for both manufacturing and technician because it's a lot faster scanning for a solid number than it is to look for fraction units.

Tldr: the smoothest of brains can work quickly on metric because haha solid number go brrr
Also metric bolt heads are typically thicker/more material which in turn promotes longevity. I think American units are superior for home building/wood working/extremely close tolerance maching but fasteners metric is goated

YES BUT, I'm a small 5'7 guy and moving one around was very easy. my F800 (seen above) is comparatively more unweildy as it's COG is higher. The 1200GS and other boxer bikes like that are the exception to that rule, but no beginner on a bike is buying a $30K bike...

Yeah fortnine did the same to the cb300r where they simply don't understand theres a market for it and the bike they want already exists as a dual sport in versys case and as a cb500f in the cb300r case(the price of the old cb350 adjusted for inflation matches the 500 and the 300 is made to be an extremely light simple starter bike.)
Idk how people don't get it with low displacement adv that people want the riding position and touring aspects rather than just offroad.

I kinda agree because it hasn't addressed anything people wanted and at that point I wiuld rather have the scl300 or nx300(sahara, but the entire platform is different) the ralley needs a better suspension and shouldn't have been using the super long snorkel intake but probably something like the rebel 300s length of velocity stack. It loses like 3~4 hp and a lot off the top speed because of just the intake. The rebel isn't much better since the velocity stack in the cb300r makes more sense as a funnel and should be that way on both.

It sucks that OEM shitty programming is what kills it. Actually good RBW should basically be programmed as % throttle twisted = % engine power commanded, tuning the throttle opening for ideal airflow at a given RPM, load, etc. but it's usually just "OK we made a rain mode that makes it even lamer and we neutered it for better emissions testing".
