>>28487521i think the humanoid robot copilots are a definite certainty. physically aesthetic humanoid machines absolutely guaranteed. we make intentionally sexy cars and aircraft, we can make robots the same way. banning "literally driverless" cars is purely hypothetical but totally possible, would be something musk or bezos would lobby for just to sell their robots. i personally would feel more comfortable driving with those kinds of cars if a self-driving taxi or delivery vehicle at least had a robot driver you could see in the seat.
the "banning cell phones and distracting infotainment systems" is a bit more of a larp i think, that will probably never happen and frankly i would rather the market dictate matters in this area without government intervention. i would also prefer if cops didn't waste time playing fucking hall monitor as they do with the existing distracted driving regulations.
