I used to but stopped because there's not really a good solution for parking with a sunshade up and a dashcam mounted without having to take it down every single time to avoid roasting the dashcam with the sunshade reflecting the sun right back at it

Viofo. I have an older model, the A129 or something and itβs great. It uses a capacitor instead of a battery so it hold up to heat really well. Iβve had mine for years in Texas and it still works. Itβs 1440p for the front and 1080p for the rear.

i have a uniden igocam 70r that still works despite roasting under the strayan sun for years, it's also a capacitor model
the sandisk high endurance card is also holding up well. check your memory cards at least once a month anons, dash cam is pointless if you're unable to pull files off the card.

also holy fuck high endurance/continuous surveillance sd cards have come down a lot in price since i last looked years ago. 128 gb used to be like 100 bucks, now it's around 45

I have a Viofo A119 dash cam. I've been meaning to get a rear cam also but I don't have the time to work out how to wire the rear camera and a mounting solution for it.

If you don't have one these days you're a fucking retard, between all the hit and run insuranceless illegal spics or jeets throwing themselves onto your hood trying to defraud you, everyone should have at least 2, one for front and back. They're not even that expensive.
>>28490492
biggest challenge is 1) finding a dash cam that doesn't suck in low light or die from overheating in the summer and 2) finding a shop to wire it up in a way that's not nigger rigged or guaranteed to kill your battery.

Not because of my speeding habbit. I dont want to record any evidence to cops with my own camera about me breaking traffic law. There has not been enough amount of dangerous situations or any insurance fraud attempts on me yet. I dont own a dash camera, but I could use my old helmet camera as dash camera for my car if necessary, it can record about 2-3 hours on single battery charge if I remember correctly.
>>28490497
I would say they should come preinstalled standard but I know it would just be used without consent by insurance/manufacturers to spy on customers.
>>28490125
Itβs easy, viofo supplies the rear mount and a usb cable that connects it to the front camera. It stores the video for both on the SD card in the front one.

I have a front & rear one. Never had to use it, usually end up using it for cool time lapses. I don't venture into cities often though where it's probably more useful.
>>28490681
yes there are super capacitor models but you read the reviews and there's a lot of variability in their reliability. it's probably a mixture of the power source sucking dick (whether it's battery or capacitor) as well as the downstream electronics not being rated for prolonged summer heat.
>>28490497
1) capacitors solve the over heating problem, idk about low light.
2) installing yourself is super easy even with a rear camera. >>28490503
You can just turn the GPS off.
>>28490497 >finding a dash cam that doesn't suck in low light
they all do, it's just how cameras werk. which is why it's a really good habit to practice reading out plate numbers quickly. your dashcam mic will have no problem picking that up.
>>28494166 >sees biker make the corner as he's entering the intersection >decides to speed up >waits to the last second to move over while passing him
This is just a bad, reckless, driver. Had plenty of time to see him and adjust.
>>28494238
Because biker had a stop sign and ignored it, which isn't an isolated incident, bikers generally seem to assume road laws don't apply to them.
>>28494238
Cyclist should have stopped at the stop sign. >but it's a steep downhill and emergency braking is dangerous
You know a stop sign is coming, it's not emergency braking. >but I don't want to unclip from my pedals, restarting is hard when you're unclipped
Skill issue. >but I'm good enough to pass without being a danger
You're fucking around, you will eventually find out. >t. cyclist
>>28490497 >finding a shop to wire it up in a way that's not nigger rigged or guaranteed to kill your battery
Just piggy back it into the cigarette lighter wiring. >only on when the car is on so no flat battery >actual cigarette lighter which they were designed for draws more current than multiple device chargers anyway so you won't overload it easily even if you're charging your phone or whatever
I'm sure cunts could find a way to fuck it up but whatever, works on my machine.
>>28494386
Well now that you mention it, my car does have that but it's a separate circuit but it also has a normal one that's only on with the car. I have no idea how common that is however.
>>28494356
This is why clip-in pedals are for fags with a death wish. It's like riding a liter sport bike, you are writing a check that ends in you dying or maimed, but you just haven't found anyone to sign it yet. Just use your fucking balance and crank the damn crank you fucking moron. > t. bicyclist in the south eastern US

Standard operating procedure in Australia. They're bouncers removing an unruly patron from their premises. They would've asked nicely first. Fuck around then and you find out.
