what really is the point of motorcycles?
>sports
if you solely buy for the track i get, but majority of the owners are: to flex/pick up chicks, drive on the street as if it was a track like a retard, bought because can't afford a powerful car and an equivalent fast bike is 10x cheaper

>naked
at least their owners know that sports bikes are a stupid concept outside of the track, other than that very similar to faired bikes.

cruiser
>club larping

>touring
they cost as much as an economy class car, so why even?

>off-road
kind of an exception since it's never a means of transport and unlike sports bike users their users always use it like they're meant to be

>scooter
not a motorcycle but only legit two-wheeler, very economical and why ride a car if you're a loner in hot climate and are a bum?

No. "Club larping" is just another way to say "extrovert hobby". And some people actually go on tracks with their sports bikes.

I would also add that nakeds and sports tourers are like sports cars (or supercars if they have 175+ hp) unlike sports bikes which are like road legal race cars.

Mine don't because I'm a CISHET White male I chose to be competent at multiple skills including doing all my own car, truck and motorcycle repair, maintenance and modification. Not difficult for the determined and pays off in many pragmatic ways like becoming a general DIY master. I had a fun econobox (VW Scirocco) for several years but it failed to be a truck so I sold it cheap to a bro who needed a commuter car.

Point is having fun, very few things in life feel as good if you're the right type of person for it. You list these classes as some niches but know that in-betweens and all-rounders are a thing if you want to do be able to do many things with one bike.

Also- with bike you don't have to worry about being stuck in traffic as much, and parking is possible everywhere.

>Scooter
>Not a motorcycle
Tap tap tap. Scooters (and mini motos) are the true form of motorcycling. Everyone else buys a motorcycle for an image so they can cop with their weekend warrior lifestyle. Scooter chads don't bother with such things because we are busy door dashing through the sidewalks to skip traffic. And much like model plane guys, we live in a constant state of build, break, and rebuild. "Real motorcycle" faggots cry in shame because they dropped their $15k outsourced slop in front of their boyfriends.

In conclusion, scooter a best.

I never understood the point of a sportscar on the road. It's as wide as the lane you occupy so you have no room to choose any line through a corner. You're forced to drive on this tight narrow track

Nigger what the fuck are you talking about. In america, a vehicle that can't safely do highway speed is unsuitable for basic transportation. This means that anyone in America running a scooter isn't riding one because they want to, they're riding one because they have to. Because there's some scrub ass mother fucker that lost their license or can't afford a car.

I ride a motorcycle because I want to. I also own a car because outside of being active duty military or some college kid in arizona, you need a car. We are not the same. I'll still wave to scooters depending on my mood but we do not have similar lives or hobbies and I do not consider them one of my people.

Anonymous No.28565746

In most US places anything that is feasibly fast enough to operate on typical public roads requires licensing. Most larger powered scooters can sustain 25mph, and most places the law says 15 under the posted limit is legally not disturbing traffic. Therefore its feasible for someone with less sense to use a not slow but not fast, scooter on 35mph roadways legally. Therefore most places require licensing for scooters above a certain size.
It's to deter people with less sense from becoming road paste.

You're confusing sports cars and supercars here. Supercars are long, wide, heavy and unwealdy (Audi R8, modern GTR, lambos etc)

Sports cars a light, small, and nimble (Mx5, st185 celica, AE86, MR2, etc.)

Supercars absolutely are huge and insane for the road. An opinion I also hold for litrebikes/Superbikes. But sports cars are made for the road bby. Take an MX5 to the track and you're going to be bored by how slow it is, but on t he public twisties, she comes alive.

The point is fun. The physics of riding a bike are just more fun than a car can give you. You will have more fun dicking around on even a Grom than you would driving a sportscar that cost 20x as much.

Not only is that the most retarded take I've heard this week, but I take my scooter into the highway all the time if the speed minimum permits.
>This means that anyone in America running a scooter isn't riding one because they want to, they're riding one because they have to.
You are wrong because I chose to ride one. Also you have never seen the GY6 community. People love building these things. Especially 2 strokes.
