Was it a bad idea to put a milk crate on the back of my TW200? I just thought it probably makes it look third world as fuck being a small displacement dual sport with that. Third worlders use bikes for utility rather than fun and I wanted to use mine for utility, it felt comfy being able to have a vehicle I can drive on almost any terrain and last days on a single tank and also store stuff on with the crate, but now I have second thoughts.

When the read end was large and not just like a cliff 100’ above the rear wheel, the license plate, which has ALWAYS been legally mandatory, was integrated into the design smoothly, it looks like part of a full fender, which is a classic element of motorcycle design
Now they quit designing the rear on Friday afternoon, so when they stick on the license plate holder to complete the design, it makes it look absolute ass without it

Its a nice peppy lil gal, I basically use it as a bastard sumo that I treat like shit since its half the price of a DRZ due to the sumo tax. Mostly I ride it around looking to get pictures where you are 100% not allowed to be with a motorcycle kek.

It really is just like a dirt birt/sumo though, a normal left hand turn at an intersection will require an upshift mid turn if you are cracking the throttle hard. If you like to work gears all day (I do) its a load of fun.

After a stupid amount of troubleshooting (noticed my brake was stuck on after changing brake pads) I found out my front brake lever (which I didn't touch) doesn't always properly sit back on the brake switch.

It has a bit of wobble to it but is OEM, any easy fixes? Too tight a fit to get a washer in there and I don't have access to just like tack weld a touch more metal so it always contacts when released

As someone who rides their Street Glide everyday and absolutely loves it, I still think the Road King looks better. The Road King looks great, but isn't as versatile or comfortable.
I love how my dad's Road King looks, but it's just not as comfortable on our long rides. They have the same engine (M8 107ci), they're only one year apart in age (mine is a 2017 and his is a 2018), and we both have put over 80k miles on them. His detachable windscreen doesn't do half as good of a job as my fairing. We've switched on long trips and it's a pain when you're doing 85+ for over an hour on it. It is inferior for it's main purpose.
It looks so much better, though. I love it. Something about how classic it looks, the minimalism, the tank mounted speedo, idk.

I do too, and I have a Rushmore era bike (2017). I like the LED strip side lights. I like the redesigned storage. I like everything about them. If I wasn't a cheap bastard I'd get a new one because I think they look really good. If my dad wasn't a cheap bastard and could look past personal looks preference, he'd also get one. I'm just practical and actually ride a bunch, that's why I have it and appreciate it, but it's not as good looking to me. If I was a fairweather, summer child, trailer queen, boomer bitch rider that barely puts 500 miles down a year, I'd have a Road King.

But it's not. They don't change the look of a bike that much, are way smaller, can be easily removed, and don't offer any protection to the bars/hands. For functional or aesthetic purposes it makes no sense to compare the two.

Front tire went flat as I started my ride to work. Had to ride a little over a mile back with it flat, kept speed under 20mph. Think maybe a valve stem issue, couldn’t find a puncture. When it went flat the bead cam off the rim, couldn’t get air back in it. Question is, how likely is it the sidewalls are fucked from riding on it flat, any signs to look for? I’m going to check it more tomorrow.

Pedals are a joke, seat is hard as rocks, entire thing is aluminum or plastic, battery is known to explode and those are just regular ass fat bike tires so they could just blow out from under you, and btw it has zero suspension, also it goes 35 MPH or 40 MPH (64 kph) 'unlocked' (basically flipping a switch saying you're ok with breaking the law).

They are quirky and require more, regular, preventative maintenance than a jap bike. It has 3 different oils (engine, gearbox, final drive), carbs, an airbox that takes like 15 minutes to get into, sidecar alignment (I just guess), valves should be checked yearly. Mine has been very reliable, a couple minor things is all.

Good fun. My exes dog liked riding with us. That was always fun. My dogs now hate it.

Same way we define gun laws: We define completely arbitrary and most of the time aesthetic features that do not impact form or function to define things around. The video goes into it a little but here, the difference between a moped and a motorcycle changes from place to place. In my city it's a flat 50cc limit, if you're 50ccs, you're a moped. Now, anyone who thinks about this for a second realizes that you can go really fast at 50ccs. A 50cc Super Cub is classified as a moped here. Other places, it needs pedals and a way to self-drive as well as a motor. Whichever it is just depends on which plot of dirt you're standing on and nothing more.

E-bikes are just absurd with classification nobody understands, just "don't go over 35 mph or it becomes a moped".

What I found was riding solo, girls do not care. Have another dude in the sidecar generally got more attention all around, but the only time where the female specific attention was when we had 3 dudes on the bike.
