I think financing is fine but you can't be a retard about it. De to inflation your debt gets cheaper over time, so if you invest what you would have paid with cash you will probably outperform the debt.

Basically just don't take a car loan with high interest rate and don't buy a car you couldn't afford to buy with cash if you really needed to
