i have a tamron 18-300 lens on a6700
0.5 mag at 18mm
this lens can focus even at 5mm working distance
pic related. shit quality because of WhatsApp compression.
about 25 jpeg sooc images shot with focus bracketing and staked with a pirated copy of zerene
i have no idea what i'm doing in lrc so i don;t bother shooting raw atm
need some advice from more experienced macro photographers here as i would like to get more into macro without any crazy spending.
1. extension tubes - one 10mm should give me 1.3 mag and ability to still use focus bracketing
2. raynox 250 - can get a 2.4 mag at 300m still can use focus bracketing
3. reverse mounting ring for my sigma 16mm - no focus bracketing, not able to adjust aperture without some gymnastics. also exposing the rear lens to dust end environment which is almost impossible to clean properly after
4. reverse ring to attach my sigma in reverse to my Tamron, same as above but getting insane mag like 30x. afraid of damaging the lens threads. sigma weights 0.5kg. theoretically should be able to use focus bracketing.
5. dedicated macro lens.
gave laowa 65mm a look, good reviews and 2x mag but in my country they cost 2x more than the US on the official/partner sites 400$ in US 750 here. can't find a used one, will need focus railor need to git good at handhold bracketing
tamron 90mm with af and 1x mag is 800$
sigma 105 with af and 1x mag is slightly more
5. i clearly need a flash and difuser.
anybody having any exp with the ak diffuser chinese copy from aliexpress that cost 40 50$? yt reviews seem like shills
for flash i was thinking a used geadox 350s but the reviews say hot shoe is plastic and breaks easily. no metal hot shoe replacement
used geadox 860iii. metal hot shoe, very powerful, 0.5kg
anything i have missed please suggest
