Use your phone to take the photos you want and if that isn’t enough, then get more gear. If you don’t have photos you want to take and are currently prevented from taking, you don’t need more gear, it won’t bring you inspiration.

Real cameras take nicer looking photos than phones. Thats it. If you can afford and bring a real camera, use one. Anyone who tells you otherwise is coping and going off on a vaguely political crusade against people having money and buying things. In reality they live with their mom in a third world european country.

Friedrich Hayek claims that every society inevitably steers towards socialism, and I believe him
Anonymous No.4435173 [Report] >>4435228
>>4435171
Every homogenous society steers towards some socialism applied in measured amounts where it is needed, but not socialism as an ideal, not socialism as a system of thought, not socialism as the basis of ethics, not socialism as a universal truth. Because some socialism applied in measured amounts where it is needed is simply helping your blood related countrymen when needed.

Also see: Americans used capitalism as the basis of ethics rather than a convenient idea for managing at least some part of the economy and now their country is failing, much like russians used communism as the basis of ethics.

I mean this as nice as possible, but these are not good at all. Severe cropping and boring angle, which leads me to suspect you just happened by these, snapped a picture without thinking or making any attempts at composition and just moved on. Even just crossing the street to get that hippie van without a tree in the middle of the shot wouldn't have been much effort and you couldn't even do that.

>4436126
Framing with the streetlight poles was ingenious. I see what you did there
>4436105
Very nice vanish point shot. Modern
shooters seem to think it's cliche, I think it's underrated
>4436020
Not bad, it's a little uninteresting on the left half, tho. Maybe a crop?
>4436014
This one, I like. Lots of dynamic light in the rock, maybe crop in just a tad to bring forward the centerpiece. If you're editing, try masking the tree, bringing up the exposure like 0.15-0.2, and slightly crushing the highlights to bring it forward
>4436002
No notes. Love it
>4436001
Wish the left girl wasn't looking directly to you, but I think also maybe that's the point? Either way, great shot. Amazing grain

I am absolutely Gobsmacked about how good phone cameras have gotten.
I used to pay good money to have my 36 exposures developed and buy new film. Spent big coin on Nikon film bodies and Big Glass, I spent ~$2500 (in the 90s) on a 35mm F1 Nikor lens. Currently own several negative scanners that can import 35mm up to 100mp.

My phone kicks it's ass.
They're making them indispensable

It looks terrible though, did you use it on maximum digtial zoom? It looks like if you AI upscaled one of those weird early 90s digital camera photos that only had 0.5mp
While I agree phone cameras can take some good photos, your photo is a prime example of why people don't think it is.

I'm pretty certain you used max zoom for it to look that bad, so maybe in the future you should stick to a proper camera for subjects that are far away. Zooming-in is a smartphone cameras worst enemy.
