Eventually they basically constitute a parasitic raiding group that recruits from their target community but never contributes except for low value shitposting.

I use to post in three of these "/p/" discords but I found out quickly that these people were more interested in socializing and making friends than /p/. Taking photos was a secondary thing. They went as far as to meet in real life and had gay sex. Some of these dudes were really nice but too passive aggressive and reddit.

These places are just elaborate friend groups filled with people who have known each other for 9+ years at this point. So no wonder that they are "uncomfortable" with sharing the invite link.
