Fantasy Photography
Recommend me fantasy photography. Like the folklore. I am sick and tired of human relations bullshit and contemporary news.

Any photography related to "contemporary" world is strictly prohibited ITT

at that point why not just go observe paintings and other art forms? it always rings phony when it's attempted in photography. i've never seen a good fantasy/fantastical photo that doesn't just look like overprocessed photoshop cheese

I think it's just a matter of skill. Photography can do that sort of thing. I remember some anon went to Romanian mountains photographed utter fucking kino.

PIc related can also work as fantasy

You might enjoy the massive religious/larp that was the 1920's group Kibbo Kift, they'd dress up and trek around the Sussex Hills in folk revivalist costumes & stole pretty much any aesthetic they thought worked for them. It all went to shit when the founder pivoted the group towards paramilitarism later on though.

Mine just arrived, and damn. Especially the poem excerpt, and what the page it's printed on obscures.
Even the wrap is exquisite.

Photo of cover and binding please. What was its price?

What is your review of the photobook?

they're shown on the shop page.

I have nothing to review, I don't know enough about photobooks to have any authority or taste vocabulary. But a couple people I've shown it to seemed genuinely impressed.

An objective fact that I can state is that the photos have different colour mastering than on her portfolio page.

It's just different. More somber than festive. Both are executed well. I think I prefer the print but for purely subjective reasons

I got my copy too and honestly kinda disappointed. I wanted a sequence of high quality prints maybe with some text describing what's going on but instead I got a few prints with a ton of pretentious bullshit to pad it out. The printing doesn't seem that great, the colors are dark and muddy with an odd blue cast, on very thin delicate yellow paper with a weird texture that hides detail. It does look unusual and expensive I'll give you that.
